We recently connected with PAUL MARCOTTE and have shared our conversation below.
PAUL, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope the Legacy of my Photography is lasting memories for people that I photograph and I hope that the passion of my Wildlife/Landscape photography come through in the images I capture.

PAUL, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado surrounded by the amazing beauty of the Flatirons and the Rocky Mountains. I have never taken that beauty for granted and I like to share those Landscapes and the wildlife that live here with people around the world.
I also like to incorporate those landscapes into my Portrait photography.
I got into photography in High school and continued through College however I started being a professional Photographer much later in life. I actually started taking senior portraits when my oldest son graduated High school and had no idea how much I would like and enjoy doing Portrait photography.
I feel that for whatever reason I have a gift for putting clients at ease. I try to make the whole experience fun for the whole family, couple or Senior.
Senior portraits are my specialty while Female seniors are far easier to photograph and are much more comfortable in front of the lens I like to take on the challenge of putting the senior males at ease in front of the lens too.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
By far my best source for new clients is word of mouth. I believe that making my clients happy with their photoshoots is the best way to grow my business. It may seem “Old school” to offer customer satisfaction but it is the number one goal of my business.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal for driving my creative journey is to keep my enjoyment of photography a priority. My Wildlife/Landscape photography doesn’t pay the bills but it keeps me excited about photography which translates into me being excited about offering unique, fun portrait photography.
