We were lucky to catch up with Frank Cisco Anderson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Frank Cisco, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
My latest collaboration music single release, “PG Bama” by Dem Boyz from Gorgeous, was born at the intersection of grief, promise, and cultural responsibility. The driving influence behind the release is deeply personal: the song is a musical vow fulfilled to a beloved late sister, DJ K-la, whose life and spirit continue to echo through the music. Her passing from cancer— the same disease one of the members, Frank Cisco “STEEL” Anderson, is currently battling as an outpatient at the world-famous John Hopkins hospital, transformed what could have been a moment of silence into an act of defiance.
Rather than retreat inward, Dem Boyz from Gorgeous chose movement over mourning. The influence here isn’t just artistic; it’s lived experience. “PG Bama” channels loss into rhythm, pain into joy, and adversity into communal power. Sonically, it draws from the lineage of go-go as a survival music—music that has always stood its ground in the face of systemic pressure, erasure, and negativity. Spiritually, it is inspired by the DJs, bands, and block-to-block energy of gorgeous Prince George’s County MD, where music isn’t just entertainment, it’s Black and Latino excellence showcased in positive American roots and culture, to the world.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
Frank Cisco “STEEL” Anderson, I try to be a digital creative catalytic engine. As executive producer, primary conceptual driver, Amazon bestselling author, disabled Naval officer veteran, creator of the Amerisoca music genre, Lion of Judah Legacy movie franchise, former dancer and multi-instrumentalist, STEEL shapes the sonic architecture and emotional direction of the record. His industrial grit and melodic fearlessness push his digital company, EZ National Media, beyond comfort, injecting urgency into every bar. As a songwriter, arranger, and vocalist, he delivers lines with unfiltered emotional weight—each phrase charged with intention. STEEL’s contribution is about impact: the edge, the pressure, the sense that this song demands to be felt as much as heard. And EZ Nation Media provides digital entertainment services such as mentorship, music catalog for synch opportunities, home of the PAMAs/Pan African Music Awards USA, indie movies and soundtracks, and a few books,. I’m most proud of being an original positive force for equal rights, love, and peace in all entertainment genres, and/so I would like to share that gift with all like minded individuals!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Sure, I’m all about positive vibes, understanding, acceptance, love, and peace. Like my slogan in my first indie movie, “Lion of Judah Legacy”, says, “One race, one love, one family!”

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Hmm, well, I actually believe that we are all creatives, just some of us more than others. It’s just that the people who choose not to follow their inner creative vibes are unfortunately, and usually, folks that haven’t learned to trust and believe in themselves yet, but, there is hope for all of us, especially while we breathe. Positive vibes always!
