My Rebirthday series
-Rebirthday
-Rebirthday 2
-Rebirthday Triune
This series has been a pivotal point in my art career due to the emotional awareness it took to create these paintings. These painting gives the viewer a front row seat to my step by step process to my own spiritual, emotional and physical growth. These painting are my first attempt at creating fully transparent and honest artworks.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a multi-talented artist, painter, illustrator, and photographer from Passaic, New Jersey. As a military veteran, I discovered the transformative power of art as a positive form of expression and a means to inspire others after being diagnosed with PTSD. With over 10 years of experience in creating artwork, I make sure my artwork connects to the everyday experience of black men and mental health awareness. Through my art, I seek to not only convey my own journey but also to spark hope and healing in others who may be facing similar challenges. My work has graced prestigious galleries and exhibitions and audiences with its ability to transcend boundaries and touch the soul.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Looking for validation from others. For a long time I sought validation from other in hopes that it would provide me what I needed to continue throughout. Y career. In truth, it works for a short period of time. Once my interest in subject changed; I started to paint things that people were no longer interested in and the likes, comments and praise started to dwindle, I began to question my purpose.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I want to give more people inspiration to create. The world is a very colorless and grey place right now. Art is more important than ever. I also love providing perspective. Everyone has an opinion and often times we provide our views, thoughts and ideas regarding a subject when we often have little to any knowledge on what we are speaking on. As a black man, I feel as though its my job as an artist to provide a window into my own life so that people can not only admire but also learn.
