Traci, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Have you ever experienced an industry-wide U-Turn? Tell us about it?
I feel like in the beauty industry U-turns are pretty common every few years. Whether it be trending styles and colors or suite and booth renters to commission stylists.
This industry can make a major shift anytime.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a hairstylist, educator and content creator. After more than three decades behind the chair, I still love helping people feel like the best version of themselves—not by chasing trends, but by creating customized color that fits their lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and hair goals.
Education has become one of my greatest passions because I believe our industry never stops evolving, and neither should we.
Whether I’m working with a guest in my chair or sharing educational content online, my goal is always the same: to simplify hair. There’s so much misinformation on social media, and I enjoy helping people understand the “why” behind healthy hair, color, and product choices. I want clients to feel confident making informed decisions instead of falling for every viral trend or marketing claim.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that healthy hair and beautiful color can absolutely go hand in hand. Whether someone is sitting in my chair or learning from one of my videos, I hope they leave feeling more confident, more informed, and excited about their hair.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Absolutely “word of mouth” a referral from an existing client. That’s where the trust starts.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I have collected emails from clients, I get emails from new client requests on my website so I can send out a mass email when needed.
I also have a private Facebook group for existing clients. That’s where I share most info. Maybe a last minute opening or a deal on retail products.
