We recently connected with Byron (Byronnnn, Artist Name) Ford and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Byron (Byronnnn, artist name) thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

Like many things, risk taking is an interesting topic to/for me. The thing about it for me is that I don’t consider anything I Believe in to be a risk at all. Everything you see now, I Believed in and saw a long time ago. Living by Grace, I just see life in a very different way from the things we typically hear. “Don’t get your hopes up” don’t expect much so you won’t be disappointed” “What if this bad thing happens” these are just examples of common quotes that I simply can’t embrace, because I embrace Grace instead. Grace empowers me in everything. I can talk about things I’ve done in the past from a business, creative and investor standpoint that helped shape where I am now but if I have to choose one for now, let’s do music. I’ve always been passionate about music and singing. I used to sing when I was younger and didn’t even really realize what I was doing because it was so natural and I was just naturally in tune with anything involving music. I got older and actually started being in studios, I wasn’t really making anything how I am now, but at the time, the environment was good enough. Here comes my first “risk” as they call it. Haha. All the things I do kind of tie in together here. I invested a lot in myself. I got my own studio, I invested a lot of time recording myself and learning how to get better and better at mixing. Understand too that the whole time all of this is going on, I’m already 100% sure of the outcome. I will always believe in myself without question. It’s me. It’s my life. It’s Grace. Just as a side note, let’s say you’re someone who is unsure or doesn’t know how much confidence they have. Whatever you do and whatever happens, it’s not the end of the world, but at the same exact time all of this is going to end at some point so what exactly is there to be so upset or regretful about? I can go deeper into that because there is more to it. The Gospel is the foundation of course, but that general viewpoint may help some people when it comes to “risk” taking. To get back to the music though, I really always knew I was going to be doing this so anything I did leading up to good point and am currently doing, isn’t a risk. It’s just my life. No one else has to live your life but you. When you live like this every “risk” you take can impact people in a Good way. For example my cousin Dooney is doing everything we used to talk about now. If I didn’t believe in what I was doing, maybe it would look different for both of us because we kind of started together as far as making music. It’s never been difficult for me to go all in on something I Believe in. This actually can make life more enjoyable. Basically though, I’m just sharing how you don’t have to view things as a risk because there’s a downside when you view it like that. Just Believe in what you’re doing by Grace. All things work together for Good.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m Byron. My artist name is Byronnnn. It’s just spelled differently but it’s the same name, say it the same way. Everything I’m into I got into it simply because I saw it and wanted to do it. Also everything I do is fun and like a game to me. Music is natural for me and my passion for it and signing automatically placed me here. Business is something I always wanted to do because my mindset has always been I can do whatever I want and I don’t have to live a “regular” life as they call it. I think people should say that a different way by the way because it can just make some people feel bad about their life, but back to it. Investing to me is the game I Love to play because there is so much to it than just the market. The market is the main thing of course but in another way it’s not. That’s the fun part, figuring it out the game and once you do that you can’t lose.

The name of my business is Coolness LLC. We are a Record Label and Clothing Company. Two divisions under the same brand. There is so much more to come too. A lot of thought and work has been put into everything recently and we will be sharing everything. I’m releasing my Gospel Album under the label of course, I know the anticipation is high for that. We have a new collection coming to go along with the Album. It will be on the website, CoolnessForever.com. I plan to do a lot more interviews too so more and more people will understand the story. I Love to have people involved.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

The Gospel is the foundation of everything me. The Bible would be the book. The only thing is that not everyone actually understands the actual Gospel because of the tradition of man. This is one reason why I’m doing the album. The Gospel is so much better than what a lot of people have heard and we just need people to enjoy their freedom and know who they are and to embrace Grace. The Gospel has impacted every single thing I do and think. There is no area of my life where Grace isn’t present so my “philosophy” is Grace, which is The Gospel. My only circumstance is Jesus.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Simply creating and enjoying the journey is rewarding. The Journey is the best part because everything is happening in real time and this is a real life that we are living. I get to share things with people and they interact with me. The fullness of Life and Love is the reward. Also people need to understand that everything actually is all about us. You will see the reward in that and realize that some of the things you hear don’t really make sense, and that life is too and True. Not to good to be true. I will have plenty to say about this on the Album though. We always preach Good News
