Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Suede Tyrell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Suede, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
I was 17 and I was just breaking in music while graduating high school. I managed to land a small bar gig in cleveland. My friend and I managed to sell enough tickets to make a small profit. It was humble beginnings but the amount of support I gained that night really encouraged me to pursue further. Now I book festivals and shows in different states as a creative.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Im Suede Tyrell, Im really just an artist at heart. I primarily focus on music a rapper and saxophonist, but as I further into the creative industries Ive been able to break pretty far into modeling and acting as well. I’ve had agents and managers in the beginning of my career, and they have helped me start out by all means. Now, I just work directly with casting and booking personnel to do things.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I was working with Netflix, they didnt give me a place to stay. I had to find one. So I crashed at my friends mom’s house in Brooklyn but was only able to there a few days a week. I had to drive back and forth from Ohio to New York each week to work with them.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
No, I learn everything when I’m supposed to. Its all part of the process.
