We were lucky to catch up with Tasmia Fazilath recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tasmia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
The idea for Tasmia Finds didn’t come from a single “aha” moment—it grew out of something I was already doing naturally.
I’ve always been the person in my circle who discovers places—new cafés, hidden gems, unique experiences—and then shares them with friends and family. Whether it was sending long voice notes, posting stories, or planning outings, I realized I genuinely enjoyed curating experiences for others. Over time, that habit turned into something more intentional.
The turning point came when I noticed how people responded. Friends would actually visit places I recommended. Local businesses started reaching out after seeing my posts. That’s when it clicked—this wasn’t just casual sharing anymore, it had value.

Tasmia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
As I started working with businesses, I saw a clear gap: many brands offer amazing experiences, but struggle to present them in a way that connects with today’s audience. That’s where I come in.
Through Tasmia Finds, I create:
* Short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikToks)
* Aesthetic food and lifestyle photography
* Story-driven promotions for restaurants, cafés, and local experiences
* Influencer collaborations and brand features
* Honest, engaging reviews that build trust with my audience
But more than deliverables, I provide perspective. I understand what makes someone stop scrolling, what feels authentic versus forced, and how to turn a simple visit into a compelling story.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Before Tasmia Finds, I was a full-time educator—structured days, meaningful work, but limited creative freedom. Content creation started as my passion on the side, something I genuinely loved.
As I began collaborating with businesses, I saw a gap: many offered great experiences but struggled to present them in a way that connects online. That’s where I found my direction.
At the same time, I wanted more balance—to spend quality time with my child and family while doing something that fulfilled me. So I turned my passion into my profession.
Now, through Tasmia Finds, I create content that feels authentic, engaging, and story-driven—helping brands connect with the right audience, while also building a life that aligns with both my creativity and my priorities.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes—at the core of my creative journey is a simple mission: to help people discover experiences they genuinely enjoy while helping brands tell their story in a way that actually connects.
Through Tasmia Finds, I want to bridge the gap between great businesses and the audience they’re trying to reach.
