Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tia Coles. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
One of the most meaningful projects I worked on involved a client who was in remission from breast cancer. She had lost all of her hair during her treatment and had grown some of it back, but like in many other cases it did not grow back the same.
It was thinner, uneven, and much finer than before her treatment which lead her to wear it in a bun all the time. She had lost her confidence and even stopped going out socially because she wasn’t happy with how she looked.
She found me through Google because I offer extensions and hair replacement options for women experiencing hair loss.
After her extension services I received the sweetest message from her. She said she received more compliments on her hair than she can count, and her family said her hair looked like it did pre cancer.
The work I do is challenging, but also extremely rewarding, and I’m so glad I was able to help her.

Tia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I absolutely love what I do! I’ve been a hair stylist for 15 years and got into hair replacement because my long time clients were entering the phase of life where people start to notice hair loss and thinning hair.
I help women who are experiencing thinning and hair loss regain their confidence with various hair extension and hair replacement solutions like mesh and meshless integration and cranial prosthesis. I offer one on one appointments in a private space and prioritize partnership and communication in my relationships with my clients.
I care deeply about the outcomes and salon experiences of my clients, and it brings me so much joy when I see them stand a little taller, or smile at themselves in the mirror once they are settled into their new look. The way their confidence shines through is priceless.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think my welcoming of open and honest communication with my clients, my dedication to learning and mastering the techniques I offer, and my warm and caring nature have helped me to build a positive reputation within my market.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing the vision my clients and I collaborate on come to life through the work of my hands.
