Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jazmon Malone. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jazmon, thanks for joining us today. Day to day the world can seem like a tough place, but there’s also so much kindness in the world and we think talking about that kindness helps spread it and make the world a nicer, kinder place. Can you share a story of a time when someone did something really kind for you?
The kindest thing someone has ever done for me is mention me or Jazmon’s Jewels in rooms I wasn’t in. I feel like people don’t have to support you but when they do it means the world to me. I’m forever grateful. When people share my art I can’t explain how wonderful that feels.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Jazmon. I’m a native of Memphis, TN. I graduated from UT Knoxville with a Bachelor’s in Child and Family Studies. I went on to get a nursing degree from TCAT Covington. I started making jewelry in my downtime during COVID and I fell in love with it.
It’s therapy for me . Creating and coming up with new creative ideas is one of my favorite things.
I like to create one of one pieces and custom pieces. I love when people come to me with a challenge or idea of something I haven’t created before. It’s like kryptonite. I get so excited.
If I’ve never done it before it’s even more of a challenge and it usually sparks other great ideas. I love it!

How did you build your audience on social media?
I of course connected and shared my work with all my loved ones. But I had to learn to never be afraid or ashamed to reach out and share with strangers. They will support you. But they can’t if you’re afraid to share! I had to learn and I’m still learning to step outside of my usual box

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
I make everything I sell by hand and I either taught myself or had a fellow creator help me. I watched a lot of videos starting out. I had a whole lot of trial and error and I still do. I’m not perfect but I’m totally invested in learning everything I can about crafting jewelry. I’m learning some new techniques about metalsmithing currently. I’ve learned to never be afraid to ask for assistance for sure
