We were lucky to catch up with Sophie Singer recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sophie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my gluten-free granola during the COVID-19 pandemic. Spending so much time at home. I started becoming more mindful in the kitchen experimenting with baking. That’s when I decide to try making homemade gluten-free granola. I shared it with my family first and they loved it- they encouraged me to sell it once I started offering it to customers. The response was amazing. Hearing people say I really love this granola was so special to me.
The ingredients reflects my values as a desire for creativity. Each ingredient I chose was meant to reflect my values, simple, natural and nourishing as I found the recipe. I realized I was not only crafting a snack, but I remember that even in tough times we can create something good! My mission is to create delicious granola and different types of flavors that bring people together, and as I grow, I plan to introduce new flavors and product lines- all while staying true to my values of quantity health and community. A few months ago, I had the incredible opportunity to fulfill a large order for a beautiful local jewelry store and I sold 100 bags of granola. It was such a special pairing- like the jewelry store each bought a bag of granola and it was cracked with love.
