We were lucky to catch up with Alisson Saravia recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alisson, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
I’m from Guatemala, and ever since I was little, modeling has interested me. I think it started because my dad liked to take pictures and videos of me. For a long time, I set other goals because modeling and acting weren’t considered good career paths in my country.
Then, when I came to this country, I focused on other things and forgot my dreams, but two years ago I met someone who reminded me of those dreams. I started working two jobs at once, between my office job and modeling, acting, and reporting, and from that moment on, focusing on my dreams began to make me happy.
I would have loved to start earlier because I would be at a different level in achieving my goals, but everything happens for a reason, and I think I’m living in the perfect moment right now.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I started modeling two years ago and learned the basics by watching videos and practicing during my lunch break and at home in the evenings. I started as a reporter when the Fox Sports producer gave me a press pass to do interviews at a friendly game. I started acting when I was invited to play a doll in a short film.
At this time I am the assistant to the owner of the modeling agency Latin dive CEO I belong to and I learn a little more every day about this whole industry with her.
I solve problems thanks to my intelligence, discipline, and common sense, and I believe what sets me apart from many people is my loyalty and patience in solving problems.
And I think it’s also because I’m a workaholic jaja
I am proud of myself because no matter the setbacks or what people say, I don’t give up, and God always blesses me with more and more projects.
What I want people to see is that if you have one or more dreams, you should go and work for them and they need to believe in them when no one else does.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I would like to become a very famous model or an actress who makes my country proud, and above all, that my dad will always be proud of me.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I believe that in this industry there will always be people who want to play with your dreams, and you can also find dangerous people. When you meet these kinds of people, you want to give up on your dreams, but it’s always good to remember that everything is a process, and each day you’ll get closer to the right people.
