We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Oprah Bradford. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Oprah below.
Oprah, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
As a writer for over a decade now, I have so learned so much in my journey and it wasn’t an overnight process for me. When I published my first book, I didn’t know all the rules and the processes of writing and publishing a book. Even though I would go back and change my knowledge, I’m glad that I went through the errors in order to learn the importance of detail and matters of writing a book. When I started my website, I also learned more about blogging and designing a website. That was a new change that I also needed to learn quickly. Pretty soon, I had grew a platform for my personal storytelling and also an empowerment site for artists, entrepreneurs, and content creators.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My name is Oprah Bradford and I’m known also as “Zip” for my pen name in writing. I am an author of 12 published novels, the founder of the empowerment site oprahzipbradford.com where I feature different men and women changing the world one day at a time. I recently started a YouTube Channel, a video diary where I share devotionals, thrift hauls, book reviews, and other interests. My handle is @oprahzipbradford. I am most proud of my writing journey, where it has taken me so far, and the things that await for me in the future.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew more about editing and formatting a book when I first started my journey. My first written works were very poor and undeveloped because I didn’t have the proper tools to learn from at the time.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, my goal is to always keep God first, stay authentic and transparent to myself, and also being relatable to others. People appreicate when a person is true to their story, and I strive to be that person every day.
