Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bella Eubanks. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bella, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I’ve always been drawn to anything creative, especially in the beauty space. Even at a young age, I loved working with my hands and having a creative outlet. It was something that came naturally to me.
As I got older, that interest continued to grow. In my teenage years, I started watching beauty influencers and became more aware of the artistry behind hair and makeup. I was fascinated not just by the final result, but by the process. How technique, creativity, and intention all come together to create something beautiful.
At the same time, I realized that I didn’t just love creating, I loved serving others. There was something really meaningful to me about helping someone feel more confident or more like themselves. That combination of creativity and connection is what truly set this path apart for me.
In high school, I began to take that passion more seriously and started to see it as something that could become my career. That decision led me to attend cosmetology school.
Looking back, there wasn’t just one single moment. It was a series of small, consistent signs that all pointed in the same direction. Creativity had always been a part of who I was, but choosing to pursue cosmetology was the moment I decided to turn that passion into something purposeful.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am the hairstylist, makeup artist, and creative behind Styled By Bella Rose. I’m based in Upstate South Carolina, where I specialize in event hairstyling, makeup, haircuts, color, and extensions. My work primarily centers around weddings, pageants, runway, and special events; moments where people want to feel their absolute best and most confident.
My journey into this industry started with a lifelong love for creativity and beauty. From a young age, I was drawn to anything hands-on and artistic, and as I got older, that naturally evolved into an interest in hair and makeup. In high school, I began to take that passion more seriously and realized this could be more than just a hobby. After graduating, I attended the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, where I completed an intensive 12-month program in only 10 months. Shortly after, I found my salon home at Canvas Boutique Salon in Spartanburg, South Carolina. From the moment I walked through the doors of Canvas, I felt a deep sense of peace and clarity that this was exactly where I was meant to be. Being surrounded by such a supportive and inspiring team has been incredibly impactful, and it has played a significant role in shaping both my growth as a stylist and who I am as a person.
Through Styled By Bella Rose, I offer both in-salon and on-location services. In the salon, I focus on customized cuts, color, and extensions creating looks that are modern, dimensional, and tailored to each client’s lifestyle. For events, I provide hair and makeup for weddings, pageants, runway, photoshoots, and other special occasions. I also love creating content and sharing behind-the-scenes moments, which allows me to connect with both clients and other creatives in the industry.
A recent highlight in my career has been the opportunity to work in New York City during New York Fashion Week as part of the UNITE Hair Team. This experience has allowed me to step into the fast-paced world of runway styling, where precision, creativity, and teamwork are essential. Being part of that environment has not only expanded my skill set, but also deepened my appreciation for the artistry and collaboration that happens behind the scenes in fashion.
At the core of what I do is solving a very real problem for my clients: helping them feel confident, comfortable, and truly like themselves. So many people come in feeling unsure about what will suit them or overwhelmed by trends. My approach is to guide them with both technical knowledge and a personalized experience, so the end result feels effortless, elevated, and authentic, not overdone or disconnected from who they are.
What sets my work apart is the level of intention I bring to both the artistry and the experience. I’m very detail-oriented, and I care deeply about creating an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and taken care of. My background working in weddings, pageants, and runway has also shaped my ability to create looks that not only look beautiful in person, but also hold up under lighting, photography, and long days while still feeling soft and wearable.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me during some of the most important moments of their lives. Whether it’s a bride on her wedding morning, someone stepping onto the pageant stage, or a model preparing to walk the runway, those moments carry so much meaning, and it’s an honor to be part of them. Over time, Styled By Bella Rose has become more than just my business; it’s a space where creativity and connection come together.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brand, it’s that my goal is never to change someone, but to enhance what already makes them beautiful. Every look I create is designed to feel like an elevated version of the person wearing it. Beauty, to me, is about confidence, authenticity, and helping people feel like the best version of themselves.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the ability to impact how someone feels about themselves. Hair and makeup might seem surface-level to some, but in reality, it can be deeply personal and transformative. There’s something incredibly special about watching someone look in the mirror and light up with confidence. That moment never gets old.
I also find a lot of fulfillment in the balance between creativity and connection. I get to create something with my hands every day, but I’m also building relationships, hearing people’s stories, and being part of meaningful moments in their lives. Whether it’s a bride on her wedding morning, a client preparing for a big life event, or a model stepping onto the runway, there’s a level of trust involved that I don’t take lightly.
Another rewarding aspect is that creativity is something that continues to grow with you. There’s always more to learn, new techniques to refine, and new ways to challenge yourself. It keeps me inspired and constantly evolving, which I think is so important in this industry.
At the heart of it all, I feel grateful that I get to use something I’ve always loved, creating, to serve others. Being able to combine artistry with purpose is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In my view, one of the most impactful ways society can support artists and creatives is by truly valuing creative work as both an art form and a profession. There’s often a misconception that creative careers are less stable or less essential, but in reality, creativity shapes so many of the experiences we value from the way we celebrate milestones to how we express ourselves and connect with others.
Support can look like something as simple as choosing to invest in a creative’s work, whether that’s booking a service, purchasing a product, or even engaging with and sharing their content online. Those small actions add up and make a real difference, especially for creatives who are building their businesses.
I also think encouragement and mentorship play a huge role. When experienced artists are willing to share knowledge and support those who are just starting out, it creates a stronger, more collaborative industry. I’ve personally benefited from being surrounded by people who were willing to guide and encourage me, and it’s something I hope to continue passing on.
Another important piece is creating space for authenticity. When creatives feel the freedom to express their own style and perspective rather than feeling pressure to constantly follow trends it leads to more meaningful, diverse, and inspiring work across the industry.
At the heart of it, supporting creatives comes down to recognizing the value behind what they do. Creativity isn’t just about aesthetics it’s about impact, connection, and the ability to make people feel something. When society leans into that and chooses to support it, it allows artists and creatives to not only sustain their work, but to truly thrive.
