We recently connected with Mike Reifeiss and have shared our conversation below.
Mike, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
The idea for Aall In Limo & Party Bus didn’t come from a formal business plan or years of research—it started with a moment of inspiration.
At the time, I was working in the mortgage industry but was increasingly feeling that I wanted to do something different. The turning point came in 2005 when I attended a poker event. That night, I decided to go “all in” during a hand—and I won big. Walking away from the table with my winnings, I noticed a limousine driving by. Inside, people were laughing, celebrating, and clearly enjoying the experience. The driver looked just as happy as the passengers. That moment sparked an idea: what if I built a business around creating memorable experiences like that for people?
The next step was deciding to take a real risk. Instead of simply thinking about the idea, I used the poker winnings to purchase mt first limousine. The name of the company came naturally—“Aall In Limo”—a nod to the poker moment that made the business possible and to the mindset required to start it.
However, purchasing a limo was just the start. The early days were focused on figuring out the practical side of launching a transportation company. This required completing professional chauffeur training, obtaining the appropriate commercial transportation licenses in California, making sure vehicles were adequately insured, and adhering to safety regulations. From conducting background checks on drivers to keeping a clean driving record and learning how to operate a licensed chauffeured transportation service, every little detail counted.
Once the legal and operational foundations were in place, the next challenge was building a reputation. In the beginning, much of the business came from word of mouth. The focus was simple: arrive on time, maintain spotless cars, and make each customer feel like the celebration of the most important day of their lives was at hand. The company’s list of services grew to include corporate events, concerts, wine country tours, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and weddings.
As the demand for the services increased, the company expanded its fleet and added party buses. There are wineries and breweries in the Temecula and San Diego areas that the business also built partnerships with, creating curated tour experiences that helped attract more customers and differentiate the company from competitors.
Over time, the company’s commitment to service began to pay off. The brand gained recognition in local media and industry publications and earned awards for customer service and business excellence in San Diego.
Looking back, the journey from idea to execution wasn’t a single leap—it was a series of steps: taking the initial risk, investing in the first vehicle, learning the regulatory side of the transportation industry, building customer trust, and gradually expanding services. What began with a single limo eventually grew into a full limousine and party bus service operating throughout San Diego County and beyond.
In many ways, the company still reflects the moment it started. The name “Aall In” isn’t just about poker—it represents the philosophy behind the business: when you believe in an idea, sometimes you have to go all in to make it happen.

Mike, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Mike Reifeiss, the founder of Aall In Limo & Party Bus. I have always been a person with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building businesses that focus on the customer experience. The opportunity to merge hospitality, logistics, and customer experience into an industry that directly impacts people’s experiences is the reason why I got into the luxury transportation industry. Over the years, I’ve focused on building a company that prioritizes professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Over the years, I’ve focused on building a company that prioritizes professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. The transportation part is only a portion of what the customers want from this business. What they want more is peace of mind, knowing their event will run smoothly and that their guests will be taken care of from the moment they step into the vehicle.
Our services range from weddings and wine tours to corporate transportation and group events. But what matters most is the role we play in those events. We often participate in some of our clients’ most memorable days, and this responsibility influences the way we perform. Every ride has to meet the same high standard regardless of the event size.
The trust we have been able to develop with our customers, as well as the reputation our company has been working towards, are what I think I’m most proud of. Much of our bookings come from referrals, which, to me, is indicative that we’ve been able to accomplish something people want to come back to.
The first thing that I think is important for our potential customers or partners to understand about our brand is that we approach every reservation with the same mindset: professionalism first, safety always, and service that makes the entire experience enjoyable. In an industry where reliability and trust matter so much, those values are what define our work every day.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think our reputation has been built on consistency and trust over time. In our industry, luxury transportation, people count on you to get them from point A to point B, whether it’s a wedding, a corporate event, or going to the airport, or celebrations — there’s very little room for error. From day one, I’ve made it my mission to ensure that every interaction that our clients have with Aall In Limo & Party Bus is reliable, professional, and stress-free.
I think our reputation has been built on paying attention to all those little things that other companies might not necessarily focus on. So, it’s clean vehicles, great chauffeurs who understand customer service, communication with our clients, and being on time. When clients know they can depend on you, they remember that.
Another important factor has been word-of-mouth. In a service industry like ours, one positive experience often leads to another booking through referrals. Many of our clients return for different events over the years or recommend us to friends and colleagues. Building those long-term relationships has been one of the most valuable parts of growing the business.
At the end of the day, reputation isn’t built through marketing alone — it’s built through consistently delivering a great experience, one client at a time.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One lesson I had to unlearn early on was thinking that running a business was just about having the right equipment or vehicles. When I first started Aall In Limo & Party Bus, I believed that if I bought a nice limousine and advertised well, clients would come automatically. What I quickly realized was that the business isn’t just about the cars — it’s about the experience you create, the relationships you build, and the trust you earn with every ride.
The backstory is simple. In the first few months, I focused heavily on acquiring vehicles and building a fleet, thinking that would solve most problems. But bookings were slow, and some clients weren’t returning. I had to step back and pay attention to the customer side: how bookings were handled, how the chauffeurs interacted with clients, and how every detail of the ride reflected on the brand. Once I shifted focus from just the product to the entire experience, the business really started to grow, and that’s when our reputation began to take shape.
It was a valuable lesson: in service-based industries, what you deliver beyond the obvious product — professionalism, reliability, communication, and care — is what truly sets you apart.
