Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Connor Ricketts. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Connor, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I recently dropped an Ep called Panda’s After Dark. This project was a major change in vibe for me as an artist and I feel it’s a culmination of all the growth I’ve had as an artist.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a hip hop artist from South Lansing known as Captain Jack. My producer Tunz and I have always had a deep appreciation for music and so things were somewhat inevitable. These days we just make what we feel and try to provide a vibe that’s genuine to us.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Creating anything that’s real to you is a powerful feeling. Unlocking the ability to be free in your mind changes everything .

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Just make something. You don’t have to be the best singer, painter, writer , just be you and make something for you.
