Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brianna Bacsi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brianna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew from a very young age that I loved art and being creative. As a kid I was always painting or drawing whenever I had the chance. As I got older, around age 14, I remember watching my mom get ready in the bathroom before going out. She was naturally beautiful, but when she put on mascara and her classic red lipstick, her blue eyes would just pop. It was amazing to me how makeup could enhance someone’s features and create such a transformation.
That moment really stuck with me. I started playing with makeup myself, even though at the time I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I was having fun and felt inspired. From there I practiced constantly. I truly believe practice makes perfect — you can’t just pick up a brush and magically be great at it overnight. Over time I learned new techniques, experimented with different looks, and slowly built my skills.
After years of practicing and exploring my creativity, I realized makeup artistry was something I wanted to pursue professionally. Makeup gave me a sense of empowerment and confidence that I didn’t even realize I had within myself. Being able to help others feel beautiful and confident is what continues to inspire me every day.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Brianna Bacsi and I’m a professional makeup artist with over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. I specialize in bridal, special events, photoshoots, and personalized makeup services. My goal is always to help people feel confident, beautiful, and like the best version of themselves.
To further develop my skills, I attended Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry, where I trained in bridal, runway, commercial, photoshoot, and TV makeup. I also gained valuable experience working in the beauty retail industry with brands and retailers such as Estée Lauder, Sephora, and MAC Cosmetics. These experiences helped me develop strong skills in complexion matching, product knowledge, and working with a wide variety of skin tones and client needs.
Today I run my own business, Brianna’s Makeup Design, where I work with brides, bridal parties, and clients preparing for special events or photoshoots. One of the most important parts of my work is making sure my clients feel comfortable, listened to, and confident in their look. Makeup can sometimes feel intimidating for people, so I take the time to understand what each client wants while also guiding them toward what will photograph beautifully and last throughout their event.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail and my passion for enhancing natural beauty rather than masking it. I want my clients to still feel like themselves, just elevated. I also love working with a diverse range of skin tones, styles, and cultures, and I’m proud to have worked with many different types of brides and clients over the years.
What I’m most proud of is building a career doing something creative that I truly love. Being trusted to be part of someone’s wedding day or important life moment is incredibly special to me. My goal is always to create a calm, positive experience while delivering a look that makes my clients feel confident and beautiful both in person and in photos.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
One thing I think people outside of creative industries sometimes struggle to understand is how much work goes on behind the scenes. Being a makeup artist isn’t just about applying makeup — it involves constantly practicing, staying updated on trends, investing in products, building a portfolio, marketing yourself, and managing a business at the same time.
Creativity also requires patience and persistence. It can take years to really develop your skills and confidence. In the beauty industry especially, it’s easy to compare yourself to others on social media, but what many people don’t see is the amount of time, dedication, and practice that goes into mastering your craft.
Another thing people may not realize is how personal the work can be. When someone sits in your chair, they’re trusting you with how they will look and feel during important moments in their life — weddings, photoshoots, special events, and milestones. That level of trust is something I take very seriously.
For me, being a creative means constantly learning, evolving, and pushing myself to grow. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s incredibly rewarding to help people feel confident and beautiful while doing something I truly love.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience on social media has been a gradual process that grew alongside my career as a makeup artist. When I first started sharing my work, it was mostly to document my progress and showcase different looks I was creating. Over time I realized that social media could also be a powerful way to connect with potential clients, photographers, and other creatives.
I began posting photos of my bridal work, special event makeup, and before-and-after transformations so people could really see the results of my work. Consistency played a big role in growing my audience. I focused on sharing quality photos, engaging with people in the beauty community, and staying authentic to my style as an artist.
One thing that helped me a lot was collaborating with photographers, models, and other creatives. Those collaborations allowed me to build my portfolio and reach new audiences who might not have discovered my work otherwise.
My advice to someone just starting out is to be patient and stay consistent. Building an audience doesn’t happen overnight. Focus on posting work you’re proud of, improving your skills, and showing your personality and passion for what you do. It’s also important not to compare your journey to someone else’s because everyone grows at their own pace.
Social media should be seen as a tool to share your creativity and connect with others. When you stay authentic and continue improving your craft, the right audience will naturally start to find you.
