Aunjanee, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea for HerLuxeSocial really grew from my experience creating luxury lifestyle content. As I built my brand in the beauty and self-care space, I began collaborating with businesses like spas, restaurants, and hotels. Through those experiences, I realized many of these brands offered incredible environments and services, but they didn’t always know how to translate that experience into compelling content online.
Because I was already producing high-end lifestyle content, I understood how to capture a space, a feeling, and a story in a way that makes people want to experience it themselves. That’s when I saw the opportunity to help these businesses elevate how they show up on social media.
So I created HerLuxeSocial, a social media marketing business focused on helping lifestyle and hospitality brands showcase their spaces and experiences in a way that feels aspirational, authentic, and ultimately drives real engagement and growth.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Aunjanee Evans, and I’m the founder of HerLuxeSocial, a social media marketing business focused on helping lifestyle and hospitality brands elevate their online presence. My background as a luxury lifestyle content creator is what led me into this industry. Through creating content around beauty, self-care, and high-end experiences, I gained firsthand insight into how powerful visual storytelling and strategic content can be in shaping how people discover and connect with brands.
As I began collaborating with businesses such as spas, restaurants, and hotels, I realized many of them offered incredible experiences in person but struggled to communicate that same feeling through their social media platforms. That’s the gap HerLuxeSocial was created to solve.
Through my business, I help brands showcase their spaces, services, and experiences through strategic content and brand storytelling that attracts the right audience and strengthens their digital presence.
What sets my approach apart is that I operate from both perspectives—as a content creator who understands audience engagement and as a strategist who understands brand positioning. I’m most proud of helping businesses present themselves in a way that truly reflects the quality of their brand while building meaningful connections with their audience.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
One of the biggest factors that helped me build my reputation was my background as a content creator in the luxury lifestyle space. By consistently creating high-quality content around beauty, self-care, and elevated experiences, I developed a strong understanding of what captures attention and resonates with audiences online.
As I began collaborating with spas, restaurants, and hotels, I focused on helping them showcase their spaces and services in a way that felt aspirational and authentic. Delivering visually compelling content and maintaining professionalism with every partnership helped build trust and strong relationships, which naturally led to referrals and more opportunities within the market.
Consistency, creativity, and truly understanding how to tell a brand’s story visually have been key in establishing my reputation.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that everything had to be perfect before I could move forward. Early on in my journey as a content creator and entrepreneur, I would spend a lot of time overthinking details—whether it was waiting for the perfect equipment, the perfect aesthetic, the perfect environment, or even feeling like my life needed to look a certain way before I could fully show up online or pursue certain opportunities.
That mindset caused me to delay taking action at times because I felt like things had to be completely aligned before I could confidently present my work. Over time, I realized that growth doesn’t come from waiting for perfect circumstances—it comes from starting where you are and improving as you go.
Working in social media and digital marketing also taught me that authenticity and consistency often matter more than perfection. Once I shifted my mindset and allowed myself to move forward without overthinking every detail, I began to grow more quickly, take on new opportunities, and build stronger connections with brands and audiences.
That experience taught me that progress and adaptability are far more valuable than perfection, and it’s a mindset that continues to guide how I approach both my content and my business today.
