We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful O. Stephanie Beverly. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with O. Stephanie below.
O. Stephanie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
At Twelve15 Design Studio, we believe that the end of a project isn’t just a “handover”—it’s a milestone that deserves to be celebrated. One of the things I am most passionate about is hosting a “Project Reveal Celebration” for my clients once their space is complete.
Instead of just sending a final invoice and moving on, I coordinate a curated get-together at the client’s newly finished home. We invite their closest friends and family to experience the transformation firsthand. I make sure to stock the event with a selection of wine and beverages that are specifically the client’s favorites—small, personal details that show I’ve been listening from day one.
The centerpiece of the evening is a slideshow I put together showing the “before, during, and after” of the project. This is a powerful moment because it validates the messy, often stressful middle of the construction process and highlights the incredible hard work that both the design team and the client put into the journey. We then do a formal tour of the site, allowing the client to play host in a space that finally feels like a true reflection of their soul.
This event is entirely at the service of Twelve15 Design Studio—we do this for the client because we want them to feel seen, honored, and celebrated. It turns a business transaction into a lasting memory and gives the client a beautiful “opening night” for the next chapter of their lives in their new home. I love seeing the look on a client’s face when they realize that their vision has finally become their reality.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
About Twelve15 Design Studio
For folks who may not have read about you before, can you please tell our readers about yourself and how you got into your industry?
My journey into the world of design wasn’t a straight line, but rather a beautiful “creative continuum.” I actually began my career in education in Atlanta before venturing into strategic consulting, design strategy, and architectural assessment work for various A/E firms.
While my background in strategy and consulting gave me a rigorous foundation in problem-solving and planning, my heart has always been deeply rooted in the arts. Twelve15 Design Studio was born out of a desire to merge those two worlds—the strategic and the creative. I wanted to create a space where I could use my eye for aesthetics and my experience in architectural strategy to help people transform the most important place in their lives: their homes.
What type of products, services, and creative works do you provide?
Twelve15 Design Studio is a full-service interior design firm based in Cincinnati, but we partner with clients across the country. We specialize in everything from residential remodels and new construction design to e-design and one-on-one consultations.
Beyond the structural and spatial design, I am also an abstract artist. I create custom acrylic pieces that experiment with texture and environment, and I love hosting painting classes and events within the community. For me, design doesn’t stop at the furniture—it’s about the art, the flow, and the energy of the entire space.
What problems do you solve for your clients, and what sets you apart from others?
Many people feel overwhelmed by their spaces or feel that their homes don’t reflect who they truly are. We solve the “functional disconnect”—when a home looks okay but doesn’t work for the way a family actually lives.
What sets us apart is our multidisciplinary approach. Because of my background in strategic consulting and architectural assessment, I don’t just look at what’s “pretty.” I look at the bones of the space, the strategic flow, and the long-term value of every design choice. We provide an elevated, boutique experience that prioritizes a deep, personal relationship with the client. We aren’t just picking colors; we are learning your values and emotions to curate an environment that feels like a physical manifestation of your soul.
What are you most proud of and what are the main things you want potential clients/followers to know about you and your brand?
On a personal level, I am most proud of my roles as a servant to my Creator and a wife. Professionally, I am incredibly proud of the “transformation stories” we’ve been a part of—seeing a client finally feel at peace and inspired in their own home is the ultimate reward.
The main thing I want people to know about Twelve15 Design Studio is that our mission is to creatively serve others while deliberately honoring God. We believe that a well-designed home can literally change the way you live, breathe, and interact with your loved ones. We are here to help you “love the way you live” by creating timeless, beautiful environments that celebrate the art of living, creating, and designing.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
The past year was a profound season of “stripping back to the studs” for Twelve15. After growing into a three-person firm with a commercial studio space, I realized that the structure I had built wasn’t fully serving the depth of the work I wanted to do. Resilience, to me, meant having the courage to dismantle what was “good” to make room for what was “right.”
I navigated a massive transition, moving the business from an LLC to an S-Corp and shifting from a three-person team back to a boutique model. This wasn’t a retreat; it was a strategic pivot. I leaned into my role as the Visionary and made the high-level decision to hire an Integrator to handle the operational “how,” allowing me to stay in my creative zone of genius.
Part of this resilience involved overhauling my entire business infrastructure. I changed accountants to a firm that specializes specifically in the interior design industry. This allowed me to look at my numbers through a designer’s lens, ensuring that Twelve15 is as fiscally sound as it is aesthetically beautiful. I also moved my physical workspace, creating a custom-curated studio in the lower level of my home. Navigating these changes—the team shift, the legal restructuring, and the specialized financial alignment—required a deep well of grit. It taught me that a Visionary’s greatest strength is the ability to rebuild with more intention and better partners.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My reputation is built on the intersection of academic rigor and deep psychological empathy. I don’t just “decorate”; I design with a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design and a background in Psychology. This combination allows me to understand the why behind a client’s needs before I ever touch the what.
Being an active member of ASID and IIDA keeps me anchored in the highest professional standards, but it’s my concept-driven approach that truly resonates with my clients. In my studio, the “Concept” is the North Star of the project. A strong, well-researched concept doesn’t just start a project—it sustains it through every difficult construction decision and aesthetic choice.
Clients trust Twelve15 because they know they are getting a designer who understands human behavior, spatial volume, and the fine art of composition. I’ve built a reputation for creating “The Creative Continuum”—a seamless flow between the strategic architectural assessment of a space and the soulful, abstract art that brings it to life. People know that when they work with me, they are getting a sophisticated, boutique experience that is as intellectually grounded as it is visually stunning.
