We were lucky to catch up with Marlene Sanchez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Marlene , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a SAHM new to Central FL I saw a need for the Mom community. As a mom of a two little girls I saw that no beauty businesses offered a space for the moms fitting my schedule.
I was a full time mom and by the time my husband got home from work no businesses were open for hair, facials, or nails.
There was also no beauty spaces where I could possibly bring my children in, if needed.
This became my motivation and vision to start esthetics school and create a space solely dedicated for moms and kids.
After graduating esthetics school I opened HEALING MAMA STUDIO.
A sacred space where moms can get facials and nails along with a space for them to bring their children.
We offer:
Mom facials and Nails
Mommy and Me Spa Time
Crafting classes
Spa Parties
Tea Party’s
And More!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Growing up I have always been a holistic person. When I opened up Healing Mama Studio I implemented the same concept. All of our products are safe for kids, postpartum moms, and others dealing with sensitivity, acne, aging, and hormones.
We create many of our facial products and also use local holistic products from our local Orlando community.
The all natural approach sets us apart from other spas as we believe that holistic products are clean, beneficial and healing to the skin.
Along with offering beauty services we offer a skincare line that we create and formulate in our studio offered both online and in our Maitland studio.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Focusing on Moms and Kids is definitely a Niche market. I’ve always led with putting my daughters and I in the customers shoes. Envisioning this has helped me better understand what works and doesn’t. Along with having a very opinionated nine year old daughter who loves to give feedback back and offer creative control.
This has all kept me striving on curating the experience for both moms and kids.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my social media from scratch without knowing a single sole locally. I’ve found the community of moms especially moms in business has been both welcoming, supportive, and beneficial. Through the years I’ve leaned on local moms in business to both test the market, cross market services, promote, like, share and book my services.
Not everyone will book your services but most can refer you, share your content, and like your posts.
