We recently connected with Lester Greene and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Lester thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?

I met my first talent agent when I lived in NYC. Ramona’s Model Talent Agency was holding an open call. I interviewed with them, and I remember feeling so comfortable in their presence. They made me feel special. It was a great synergy. Two days later I signed with them. I would go on to book my first national commercial with them. It was for ESPN.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I got into acting on a dare. I started out as a rapper, and then I pivoted to acting. My friend dared me to give acting a try. I tried it, and I immediately fell in love with it. In terms of my artistic career, I am very proud of working with my partner on a couple of commercials together. It is always nice when you can do what you love with the people you love. I am also proud that I was able to create and release my own book: “Act Like You Love Yourself.” At this point of my career, I just want to help as many people as possible.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

As a creative, I think the world would be a better place if we all lead with a little more kindness. It really goes a long way. I just see so much hate. Life is tough as it is. Why not make the world a better place by just being more nice. And being nice can start with just smiling at someone, saying hello to a stranger, or just listening to someone in need.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Being an actor takes a certain kind of mental strength. I am often rejected for roles on a regular basis, but I keep going. I will never stop. I will never quit. I AM AN ACTOR!
