Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kalisha Harris. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kalisha, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I first entered the world of jewelry making through my cousin’s aunt, who worked with the jewelry company Barse. Supporting her with order completion allowed me to explore the craft, and ultimately sparked my interest in jewelry design.

Kalisha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a jewelry artisan and crafter specializing in bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and wire-wrapped designs. In addition to jewelry, I create custom T-shirts, hoodies, junk jackets, junk socks, blinged Crocs and tennis shoes, as well as personalized shadow boxes.
Creativity is at the heart of my work, and I take pride in bringing my customers’ ideas to life. I am committed to producing high-quality, detailed craftsmanship in every project I take on. As a perfectionist, especially in my jewelry and wire-wrapping pieces, I strive to ensure each item is designed with precision, care, and artistic vision.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I first started crafting jewelry, I was excited but unsure of how far my skills could go. One of my earliest major orders came from a client who wanted a full custom set—bracelet, necklace, and earrings—each with detailed wire wrapping and very specific design expectations. I was eager to impress, but halfway through the project, everything went wrong.
The wire snapped. The stones wouldn’t sit right. The design kept collapsing. I stayed up late for days trying to fix it, and at one point, I considered giving the deposit back and walking away. It felt like I had hit the limit of my ability.
But instead of quitting, I stepped back, took apart what I had done, and started again from scratch—slowly, patiently, and with more intention. I practiced new wrapping techniques, watched tutorials, and refused to send anything out that wasn’t my best work.
When I finally completed the set, it was not only stronger and more beautiful than the original design, but it also marked a turning point for me. The client loved it, but more importantly, I proved to myself that setbacks aren’t failures—they’re shaping tools.
That experience taught me that resilience is built in the quiet moments when no one is watching, when frustration hits, and you push through anyway. Today, every piece I create carries that same determination to deliver quality, no matter how challenging the process becomes.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My reputation grew from a combination of consistency, craftsmanship, and genuine connection with my customers. I built my name piece by piece—literally—by making sure every item I created reflected quality, precision, and care. Whether I was wire-wrapping a pendant, customizing a T-shirt, or blinging a pair of Crocs, I treated each project like it was being made for a special occasion.
What truly strengthened my reputation, though, was my commitment to listening. I take time to understand what my customers imagine, and then I bring that vision to life with creativity and attention to detail. That ability to translate ideas into something custom and meaningful keeps clients returning and recommending me to others.
Word of mouth became one of my greatest marketing tools. When people received a piece that exceeded their expectations—whether it was a unique bracelet design or a personalized shadow box—they shared it with their friends and family. Over time, those personal referrals built trust in my work, long before I posted anything online.
Reliability, craftsmanship, and a passion for creating unique, high-quality items have been the foundation of my reputation. I don’t just make products—I create experiences that make customers feel seen, valued, and excited to come back.
