Yes, the moment that changed the trajectory of my career was deeply personal — it started with my daughter.
She was struggling with anxiety, and as a mother, there’s nothing more heartbreaking than watching your child suffer and feeling powerless. I wanted to help her in a way that felt gentle, natural, and supportive. So, I went to my roots — to the knowledge I had about herbs, their energetics, and how they can bring the body and mind back into balance. Read more>>

There was a defining moment that changed the entire trajectory of my career and it all goes back to my grandma. Growing up, I was always in the kitchen with her. She was the heart of our family and the soul behind every meal. She didn’t just teach me how to cook, she taught me how to cook with love, with purpose, and with pride. Every recipe came with a story, every dish had a deeper meaning, and I cherished those moments more than I realized at the time. Today, she’s alive, well, and cancer free. And every step I take toward opening my own food truck or restaurant is built on the foundation she gave me. I’m currently in college for business, learning how to turn my passion into something real, and I carry her spirit with me in everything I do. Read more>>

Honestly, the defining moment in my career was when I realized that being a good clinician wasn’t enough—I wanted to serve my community in a more meaningful way. After doing a residency and fellowship at a big orthopedic clinic, I had all the tools and training, but something was missing. I kept asking myself, “Who am I really helping here?” And more importantly, “Where are my people?” Read more>>

In 2006 I was let go from my job as an insurance agent here in San Antonio. I had worked many years for the company and was making a good living and comfortable. I was seeing that I needed to go back to school to better my opportunities and decided that if I’m going back to school it might as well be for something big. I was weighing medical school and dental school and ended up choosing dental school because it would be four years and done vs medical school was four years and then another four years residency. I first had to get my bachelors…..I only had 13 hours college credit…so I started at a community college and then transferred to UTSA. Read more>>

When my second son, Boden, was born, I immediately noticed a persistent head tilt that led to head flattening, along with excessive tension in his tiny body. Despite being a pediatric physical therapist myself, I suddenly found myself on the other side: a worried parent navigating a system that often felt fragmented and reactive. During our NICU stay, I saw firsthand how early asymmetries and body tension can impact a baby’s feeding, sleeping, movement, and milestones. Advocating for Boden and experiencing these challenges firsthand inspired me to start Movevery, a pediatric physical therapy practice dedicated to supporting infants and toddlers with individualized, family-centered care. I started my career in Public Relations working under one of Hollywood’s top publicists. I was 23, wide-eyed, and eager to prove myself. What I walked into was an industry that looked glamorous on the outside, but underneath, was full of dysfunction, unchecked ego, and emotional burnout. Read more>>

“After fighting for my life with COVID-19, I realized how fragile health can be—and how often we wait until we’re sick to prioritize it. That’s why I built Elko Replenish Med Spa: to empower others to take control before crisis strikes. We don’t just treat symptoms; we blend cutting-edge treatments with mental wellness practices to address the root of issues like stress, hormonal imbalances, or skin concerns. What sets us apart is authenticity—my journey taught me that true health isn’t a quick fix. It’s about prevention, partnership, and caring for both body and mind. Here, you’re not just a client—you’re part of a community that believes thriving starts long before ‘getting better’ ever has to.” Read more>>

Over twenty years ago I was hit by a semi tractor trailer on I – 25 on my way to work.
It was a life changing experience — and one I’m deeply grateful for.
Did that moment in time forever change my life, yes; I had to have a disc in my back replaced and no one really knows how long it’s going to last. So, I’ve learned how to lift heavy for strength and use Yoga for flexibility and balance. Read more>>
