Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Sawicki. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessica, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
I love what I do! My job is so rewarding that I really enjoy what I do and I don’t think many people can say that. I feel fortunate enough to help so many parents out there that are struggling with their child’s sleep, and in turn not sleeping themselves. There are so many success stories from my Clients since I started over 8 years ago. I have worked with single parents, who are just trying to work 2 jobs to keep up with their child, and spent sleepless nights driving their child around at night just to get him to sleep. I’ve worked with parents that are on the brink of divorce because their child has taken over their bed and they no longer share a bed, and with the lack of sleep have lost their connection. I have worked with kids who are deaf, and the parents find it difficult to get their child back to sleep in the middle of the night. I have worked with parents who have a 7-year old who has never slept a full night once a day in his life! And then I have worked with the parents who literally have to hold their baby ALL night long on a rocking chair to get them to sleep. These and so many more!
And then to get their child sleeping on their own. To get the baby sleeping all night long. To get the parents back in their own sleep space. And to get everyone in the house sleeping again, is priceless!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant. I was trained and certified as a Gentle Sleep Coach and I work one-on-one with parents on their child’s sleep issues. I work with kids ages 0-10 years old on any sleep issue they encounter! I upkeep my certification with continuous educational courses. I have completed courses and certified in: Infant Mental Health, Happiest Baby Educator, as well as The Wonder Weeks. I am a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants as well as the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants.
My services include consultations and full support along the way. The 1.5-hour consultation allows for me to go into detail on all things related to their child’s sleep and provide an in-depth sleep plan. I take a holistic approach and each plan is tailored to each child and family based on their issues, goals, and parenting styles. There is no “one plan fits all.” After the consultation, I support my families for 6 months as they work on their child’s sleep. I provide a lot of support and guidance along the way, with phone calls, emails and text support.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Because of my constant follow up support and guidance, I truly invest my time to my Clients. Working with tired parents and sleepless kids, they need that constant support and reassurance. We are all tired. We are all trying to be parents, spouses, and our best selves and it’s very hard to do so with lack of sleep. As a mom of 4, I understand that and I truly dedicate my time and knowledge to my Clients. I think with that, my Clients have felt it and really truly like working with me, which has helped me and business grow.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth. Since my services include a lot of one-on-one with parents, I heavily rely on that relationship to grow my business. With a successful journey and outcome, my Clients are happy and continue referring me to other tired parents.
