Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rosie Anderson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Rosie, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Growing up we did not have a lot of money, in fact, we struggled. New shoes happened at the beginning of the year, and we wore them until there were holes in the bottom of them. That was the sign that we got new shoes! When I was about 8 years old, I told my Mom that I really wanted to go to Disneyland and she said that we don’t have any money for that. I told her to write a check like she does at the grocery store. Her comment was, “you better marry someone rich”. It was at that moment that I knew I would do it myself. I was not going to marry anyone to take care of me.
When I graduated from high school, my Mom moved a state away and I was on my own. Knowing that I was going to be a career woman, and the first person in my family to go to college, I started taking classes and working around school. I realized that it would take a long, long time to get a degree doing it the way that I was, so I started going to school full time and worked at night. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, with a focus on Journalism and Spanish and spent a quarter in Mexico living with a local family.
I interned in Hawaii at a TV station for a quarter and was hired at a local Honolulu radio station and my career took off.. I worked in radio for 15 years and had the time of my life.

Rosie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
After a 15-year very successful career in radio, I moved out of the city and started selling real estate in 2004. I still sell real estate today as I love to help people, I also help my husband with his medical business, helping and healing patients.
However, I felt deep down in my soul that something was missing. After losing three of my most favorite humans, my mom, my brother and my mentor, I sought out a professional psychic/medium who helped me connect to them in the spirit world.
He invited me to his spiritual development group, and I knew immediately that I had found something that spoke to my soul. I was still a skeptic, and somewhat hesitant until the night I was working with a man who had lost his dad, and his dad was very present. I told him things that I was feeling, and the messages that I was receiving, and the man started to cry and asked me if I always made grown men cry. It was at this pivotal moment that I realized that this was a healing modality and that I had a gift that I needed to share with the world. This was the last thing I thought that I would be doing.
After that, I continued to take classes, workshops and practice groups to further my abilities.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Without a doubt, being honest and ethical is the most important thing, even when it may not be what the person wants to hear. Being empathetic and accepting of all that is as people just want to be heard and listened to. I love holding space for my sitter and being there to witness their healing. Simple, and not always easy.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My childhood was tumultuous. My parents were very young when they had children and money was tight, there was a lot of alcohol and fighting. It always seemed to be a constant struggle in our home whether it was silence or yelling. Always unpredictable and scary. I learned at a very young age that I did not want to live like that, and I knew that I was going to be the change. I was the first person in my family (and extended family) to go to college. I worked and went to school full time to follow my dream of working in radio. It was a successful career and I had more fun than most people have in a lifetime. After my radio days, I helped people get into their own homes while also helping my husband grow his medical practice. And now I have fulfilled my soul work with helping people heal through my intuitive psychic/mediumship work.
