Hi Alexus, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I’ve found a passion for food and music, as they bring so much joy and happiness to people’s lives. I started cooking small meals for myself after leaving my parents’ home, which eventually led to catering gigs for co-workers, birthdays, holidays, and other celebrations. I realized I had a business on my hands and began networking on social media in 2018. I did a promotional ad with a well-known influencer in my city and held my first pop-up on my birthday, 12/21/2018. From there, I kept growing, from selling dinners to becoming a pop-up vendor, traveling to cater events, offering meal prep services, and even launching my own line of seasonings. All of this has been so rewarding, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next! The joy and smiles of the people who enjoy my food have really inspired me to keep growing and thriving with my brands.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

A smooth road? Absolutely not!

This has been the most challenging journey I could have ever been on. From a failed event from DC to Alabama, to being a mother of 3 with life constantly throwing obstacles my way! I traveled to ATL and my hotel was sold out on June 19th, 2021. Atlanta was at capacity. Unbelievable, for real! I arrived late to check in and, long story short, had to stay in my car, shower in Planet Fitness, finish last-minute things in the car and still make the event I traveled to be a vendor at. It was sold out too! From not having enough money to invest and restock while still living everyday life, to being scammed by others while trying to build my brand, the list goes on. It has been a challenging journey, but the rewards after the storms are worth every hurdle. I could have given up, almost thrown in the towel a few times. Approaching year 6, and we are still here.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I am a full-time homeschool parent of three. This is my primary and lifelong commitment above all. I am dedicated to achieving success as we navigate the homeschool community at “BossnHomeSchool Academy”.

Additionally, I am Bossn The Brand. I own my own catering and personal chef company called “BossnFlavors”. We provide catering for various events, offer private house calls for family dinners, meal prep, and occasional pop-ups. We also manufacture salt-free seasoning flavors under the brand name “The Taste of BossnFlavors”. Moreover, I started a beverage company for my children called “Rayne and Jrs Drinks”.

I recently joined a renowned chef network, where I am receiving valuable hands-on training from a highly skilled chef with 16 years of industry experience. Our services include personal catering for events at various venues, clients’ homes, and even on yachts.

In addition to my culinary ventures, I provide business and artist development services for musicians through “BossnEmpire”. Furthermore, I offer a credit clean-up service called “Common Cents Credit by Bossn The Brand” using a dispute and letter process to improve your credit.

Lastly, I am also a growing content creator, documenting my everyday life.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?

To achieve greatness! Manifesting success, but remembering this is God’s plan! I aspire to establish a physical location for the brand BossnFlavors and get it featured on TV. Additionally, I aim to develop our homeschool academy into a program for new homeschooling families. I hope to have a cooking channel for the brand and to grow my seasoning brand across the world, making it available in many stores.
