Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Osborne
Hi Ty, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The way I started voiceover work was actually a pretty interesting story. During the summer of my JR year during Covid I was getting haircut from my sister. In the middle of it her and my mom were in a conversation of what I was planning on doing after high school. I was always a very unserious kid especially when it came to the future. Once we started talking I was talking in voices when my mom said I should try and do that for a career. The next day she surprised me with my very first microphone and the rest is history.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At first it was rough, I was really just trying to improve day by day. My voice was originally much higher than it was today and it was a struggle to find my range when it randomly deepened…after that I just worked a lot of sleepless nights and met the right people to help me grow as an individual and actor.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a professional voiceover artist and have been for almost 4 years now. I specialize in all things voiceover whether it be commercials, animation, radio if it has a voice I have most likely done it. I am currently best known for my works on the podcast series Cabin Tales and the YouTube series The Mandela Catalogue. I honestly don’t think that I can point out one performance I love over the other which is something that you could consider in what sets me apart. Personally the thing I think sets me apart from others is the determination I have to make sure the product is the best I can make it…day or night I am always willing to work which is something I have taken pride in over the years.
