We were lucky to catch up with Stephanie Yopp-robinson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
Hypnotherapy uses relaxation techniques to help people enter a deeply meditative state (or trance state) and while I also use relaxation techniques that I liken to a deep guided meditation, I have also introduced sound healing as an integral part of the hypnotherapy process. My clients will go anywhere they are guided to–in alignment with the intention that they set for the session–and this can look like going to other lifetimes, in between lives, energetic realms of healing and Higher learning, connecting with guides or passed on loved ones, etc. What makes my process so unique is how I weave sound through my clients’ journey, which I do intuitively so as not to overshadow the experience that is most right for them. In my use of sound, this could look like using my Divine Harmony chalice (handheld singing bowl) during the relaxation process to using other singing bowls, shakers, drum, and channeled vocal transmissions. I have honed my intuition and my own memory of my sound gifts to the degree that I have been able to sense and know exactly when and what sound is most needed in hypnotherapy sessions. People will often report that they went deeper than they ever thought they could ( or had ever gone before) and that they feel tangible shifts inside their cells as a result of the sounds and the energy flowing through them. I began using sound in sessions when I started exploring merging my love for sound and its amazing healing properties with my hypnotherapy sessions. Time and time again, people had deeper experiences, greater and greater levels of Remembrance and profound levels of peace and clarity. Given that my work is largely centered around helping people feel harmony in their lives and resonance with the essence of harmony, I call my work Harmonic Resonance Hypnosis.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I first discovered the notion of past life regression from the book Journey of Souls by Michael Newton and reading it sparked so much memory for me–of other lives and life between lives. I felt so enlivened by the idea of helping people remember more of who they are and to heal through past life regression that I quickly sought out a past life regression training. One of my favorite decisions in this life. I received my training from Ashland School of Hypnotherapy in Ashland, Oregon. I spent months doing practice sessions with friends and family before my first paid sessions. I knew very early on how special this work is and I would even exchange with other hypnotherapy practitioners. The sessions I personally received opened my own memory even more, helping me get more clear on what I’m doing here, on gifts that I’ve honed and mastered over many lifetimes, and to clear many fears and wounds that I no longer needed to carry anymore.
In addition to receiving my own sessions, I also had a very strong spiritual path that led me to spending a good deal of time in deep meditation, medicine work, and developing a strong spiritual practice. Through it all, I realized so clearly the strength of my intuition and I awakened the memory of my own unique sound healing gifts that involve channeling sound through my body. Sounds that re-write memory by speaking to the cells of the being and allowing the energy within the cells to flow fluidly within the Cosmic Web of All That Is (or as some call it: the Unified Field). Syncing or tuning us to that Field through the sounds. While we’re always inherently connected to the Field, we can get a little confused and feel very far away from Source…the sounds welcome us, invite us back to harmonize and resonate with the energy of the Field. Vibrating synergistically with it, as opposed to feeling dissonant with Life, with the flow of the Universe. That dissonance is often when we feel lasting feelings of depression, anger, suffering, chaos, etc. In essence, we feel disconnected not only from ourselves but the Flow of Life itself.
Since my spiritual journey began close to 2 decades ago, and my own memory awakened, I currently remember over 2 dozen lifetimes. Some lifetimes are bits and pieces rather than a full clear picture. Others, I remember enough to write full books on. I have about equal part memory of lives on earth as I do lives on other planets. I not only see myself as a Starseed (a soul not originally from earth) but also a Wanderer (a soul that tends to incarnate on many different planets and civilizations). I see myself as a deeply curious adventurer. I long to expand my consciousness and I tend to do so in big, bold ways. I believe that experiencing different places, people, & ways of life across the Multiverse is SO much fun. And, it brings me so much JOY to have memory of at least some of those experiences.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I was 19, I had my son. My son’s father and I had a tumultuous relationship and when we separated, I realized what a truly powerful intuitive sense I had–as I could sense many things that I was never told or was lied to about. I vowed to myself after that relationship ended to commit myself to learning to trust my intuition more and more. I devoted myself to trusting my inner knowing. My son’s dad and I had a very contentious child custody battle and I struggled with CPTSD. There was even a time after the end of that relationship where I ran to my work bathroom to vomit because of the way my CPTSD was easily triggered by an insensitive boss I had at the time.
My amazing mom handed me a book around the time of the custody battle for my son, during a time when everyday was a struggle to function normally. The book was A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and it changed my life. I studied it like my life depended on it. I went from having panic attacks on a regular basis–every time a new piece of mail arrived related to the custody battle to feeling peace and clarity about how to move forward with peace in my heart and mind.
During all of this, after separating from my son’s dad, I put myself through college as a single mama with a toddler and graduated at the top of my class with a BA in Social Science, while also running my own small cleaning business, too. I developed a great deal of inner strength and resilience from that time in my life, and it drove me to go deeper and deeper down the path of spirituality and self-discovery.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When my family and I moved from Oregon to Arizona a few years ago, I intended to move more of my business online. I had a good following and strong client base in Oregon–my business was growing before we moved and I desired to take it to the next level by doing more work online, as well as being able to continue serving my clients in Oregon.
What I discovered was that while online sessions are great and I still do them, I realized that people really desire to be in person for these kinds of sessions, which I totally get! Online and in person are both great ways to receive the power of this work AND there is such a special quality of in person work. So, after months of working to have more of an online presence and feeling frustrated with the (lack of) results, I realized it wasn’t the way I truly wanted to grow and I was forcing something that ultimately felt out of alignment for me. I was following the trend that we see in spiritual coaching industry that focuses primarily on online programs and sessions. I am not at all against online work–as I mentioned, I still do sessions/programs online and they are incredible, too, but what I realized is that I was doing things in reverse to what truly felt good to me. Since I had moved states and had no client base in Arizona yet, I decided to pivot and focus on connecting with people in my community–in person. I even now do group sound healing journeys and this has had the pleasant outcome of bringing in new hypnotherapy clients. As a result, my business is growing every day and I feel in alignment with the way that this growth is happening.
