We recently connected with Bryce-brocque Johnson and have shared our conversation below.
Bryce-Brocque, appreciate you joining us today. Can you walk us through some of the key steps that allowed you move beyond an idea and actually launch?
Starting off going into my career I went from being trapped in the house hearing my little cousins having fun dancing in the kitchen during the pandemic to encouraging me to download TikTok and see what the hype was about in 2019. After downloading the app I unintentionally stayed up until 6 in the morning laughing all night. Which encouraged me to create videos myself unknowingly the videos would gain the traction it eventually did, being the first few videos i posted didn’t do much in views. I continued to make videos for fun to help get me out of my shell of being antisocial and shy not thinking people from around my city would see them. Eventually a video that I gained a good amount of views on a video gaining well over 300 thousand views over in a matter of 3 days receiving a lot of reactions and love from pears and unknown supporters that caught me off guard. I soon decided to take it serious once I noticed I grew a following of 10 thousand people that later on down the line grew close to 400 thousand supporters. My page started to grow super fast after finding my niche from doing voiceovers skits to what some would call “pretty boy” content and dances. It took a while to grow to that extent of followers after learning everything I could possibly do to keep growing not knowing money could be made from the actions I was taking along side being a public figure that people would point out from being known from something as I was doing for fun. After a year of the time I put into page I grew a following of 10 thousand on Instagram to 360 thousand on TikTok to finding out I was banned on TikTok shortly after playing basketball not thinking of anything wrong. It took me 2 years trying to recover my account but I was never able to recover the account i started on that I gave up on trying to get the account back and I lost hope on being a content creator. After making multiple new accounts and deleting them my final decision on a new account that I made official I put my foot down because my vision I had wouldn’t let me rest being my oldest brother once told me when i was a kid that stuck with me since “ If you can do it once, you can do it again.”, ever since then every idea that I’ve had I’ve executed. I did not let me losing my first account bother me to the point of giving up fully on my goal and I just went more into what I had in mind approach my vision as a business instead of something I was as first doing for fun. From that point forward I uploaded 10-15 videos daily finding the best path of content I could make that would allow me to grown in a positive light. Me being a well put together gentleman I used my looks for the first part of my growth but that will only get you so far I switched up to making what I once did which was voiceover acting that gained a lot of traction down the line still upload as much videos I could in a day everyday. I knew that I wanted more out of what I was doing I just didn’t know all of what. I was reached out to by a brand manager that got me a deal with a clothing brand that I’ve worked with for over a year now. That did not last too long from unwanted requests I was asked to make. Being let go I had to figure out a plan to make what I was doing make me money to provide for my family and self. Voiceover acting was cool but the problem that comes with that is the content is not original let alone the same sound used by thousands of other people that want the same goal, to make it. I discussed my plans to switch my content to making skits and being more of my self which would grow more support and trust from my supporters and brands that would be willing to work with me from the way that I promote their products through my skits. It took a while for me to get comfortable with using my own voice and ideas that I was in fear of not being supported and completely failing but the expectations were the total opposite that I figured out exactly my lane for longevity. Starting off my skits I would have my wife record me and just talking by myself as if I were talking to someone I got my wife comfortable enough to talk in my skits alongside with that she got comfortable helping being my platform to well over 300/400 thousand on instagram and tiktok to 40 thousand on facebook and what im currently working on youtube to reach 100k plus on youtube from 5 thousand. I now have 6 brand deals that I promote from and making a living from my skits alone that I am dedicated to uploading daily that I stress if I miss a day. With all my work I’ve put in I’ve had the opportunity to work in a short film, have been asked to work in movies etc. Which I do want and will profession along with modeling and being a full time content creator from being myself and the love receive from my family, friends, and real supporters. I thank God everyday for the position that I’ve been put in and still growing in!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Im a Content Creator/Model/Actor/Business Owner. I make funny related skits daily while also promoting brands that wish to work with me. What sets me apart from others is that I am genuine when it comes being a content creator and my real life unlike some that are not the same on and off camera. I proud of how far I’ve came from having emotionally days of wanted to make it so bad that eventually I was not realizing I was living in the days I cried for. I applauded myself for working to get where I am but there is a lot of more room to grow and places to see.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being “Lilplayaplaya” is being noticed in public walking in high spirits being approached to smiles and love that keeps me humble and to keep doing what I’m doing to care for my family and self from doing what I love to do. Which is being me and doing everything I was blessed to be able to do being very talented in many fields of life.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal of my mission is make it for my family and at the end of the day and my older brother who is not here with us who was also very very very talented who I looked up along with my uncle and father. My brother was an extraordinary God blessed talented man who loved to draw and I pushed for him to put his art work on the market that he eventually worked to do but shortly was cut off from that after getting his calling away from earth. I plan to continue to keep growing tattooing all of his art work over my torso that the work will have no choice but to see his works of art and the amazing vision that he had.
