I’m Oswaldo Navarro, an experienced airline captain with over 28 years in aviation. Life brought me to the United States unexpectedly, (You already know the history) and although I faced challenges, I turned those into opportunities. After obtaining my FAA drone certification, I launched my business specializing in aerial photography.
As we’ve grown, we’ve expanded our services to include critical infrastructure inspections in renewable energy, utilizing leading industry software for data processing. However, I want to address an urgent need in our industrial and residential communities here in South Carolina.

It has been a challenging journey for me to sell this service, despite the valuable solutions we provide. Perhaps it feels a bit ahead of its time, but we are in the 21st century, in the most powerful nation on the planet! Maybe my marketing skills or my English aren’t up to par, or perhaps selling just isn’t my forte.
When I first arrived in Greenville, I worked for eight months at a renowned global company while we settled in and my wife obtained her certification. One day, I witnessed something that made me question everything. A group of men donned their safety gear to climb onto the roof of a massive, over-80-year-old industrial structure. They were ordered to inspect the roof, but honestly, it looked more like they were just heading up there to kill time probably smoking and chatting. Sure, they might have detected something, but at what cost in time and labor hours?

My name is Oswaldo Navarro, and I’m an experienced aviator with over 25 years as an airline captain. I come from a family with a strong tradition in aviation, which has instilled in me a deep passion for flying and safety. Part of my work in aviation has involved integrating Safety Management System (SMS) protocols into drone operations, ensuring that we meet the highest safety standards for each mission and client. My journey into this industry was a unique one; circumstances led me to the United States unexpectedly, where I found myself needing to pivot my career. With my love for aviation still in my heart, I obtained my FAA certification for drone operations, allowing me to harness technology in a new and exciting way.
I founded my business Rotor Dynamics to provide aerial photography and inspection services, specializing in real estate and critical infrastructure inspections in renewable energy. One of the most profound challenges I faced on my journey was the moment I arrived in the United States. My family and I were here due to a medical emergency involving my eldest son, and we found ourselves starting from scratch, having lost everything in our home country. It was a devastating time, especially being separated from my youngest son for nearly five years.
Being forced to retire from flying airplanes added another layer of complexity to my situation. I felt like I had lost a part of my identity. However, it was during this dark period that I discovered a new purpose. I channeled my experiences into becoming a pioneer in the drone industry, focusing on industrial service solutions.
Rather than letting my circumstances defeat me, I used them as motivation to innovate and adapt. I realized that the skills I honed as an aviator could be applied in a new context, and I became determined to not only succeed but to make a meaningful impact in my community. This journey has taught me that resilience is not just about enduring hardships; it’s about transforming them into opportunities for growth and change.
Today, I am eternally grateful for the chance to contribute to this great nation and to help others through my work. My experiences have shaped who I am and fuel my passion for pioneering solutions that enhance safety and efficiency in inspections.

Despite the experience I bring, I still make mistakes and learn more every day.
