We recently connected with Daniel Del Pozo and have shared our conversation below.
Daniel , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new firm – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
As I new Real Estate Agent; I wanted to really get my name/face out there, so I created a YouTube channel where I do Property Tours of New and Existing Homes. While I was shooting a Property Tour for a New Construction Home, a gentleman walked into the model home to look around. I’m always very cordial when shooting content inside of model homes, so myself and my colleague immediately put a pause to our shoot as to not be distracting to potential buyers. As the gentleman came into the home, we both said “Hi” and told him to not mind us as we were just shooting some content for YouTube. He didn’t mind at all and stated that he was just taking a look around. As he stepped better into my view, I noticed that he was wearing a pair of “sought after sneakers”. I happen to know about and actually sell sneakers in the aftermarket, therefore, I immediately began to ask him about his shoes and struck up a purely “Sneaker Based” conversation. After we were done talking shoes, he informed me that he was from out of state, was looking to sell his home in California, and wanted to buy a home and move to Las Vegas or Henderson, NV. From there, I fully introduced myself as an Agent and began chatting with him about what kind of home he was looking for and what part of town. Flash forward a few months and I had him under Contract to purchase a New Construction home in the Henderson Hills, AND he had got me connected with 3 different friends/family members that I also sold houses to. From my first client to over $2.5 Million sales from him and his referrals…. just from sparking up a conversation about sneakers!

Daniel , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
With over 27 years of experience in sales, I have a passion for connecting people to products and services that make their lives easier and more enjoyable. I thrive on helping others and will always promise to be the best that I can be for my clients. I’m a born & raised native of Las Vegas and have a vast knowledge of how this city (and surrounding areas) function and what their best attributes are.
Outside of my career; I have an amazing wife, two beautiful children, and a rambunctious Corgi. I have a passion for writing and food and combined the two for 5 years as a local restaurant/event reviewer called Sin City Foodie. My wife and I are addicted to going on cruises, and I also enjoy all genres of music and film.
My life in sales has given me the opportunity to help you in the best way possible to assist in buying or selling a home as well as giving you the peace of mind that I’m truly here for you. Whether you’re moving from elsewhere or have been here for decades, not only can I show you some cool parts of Vegas you’ve never known about, I can also be a friend in this industry and help educate and guide properly, without you feeling pressured or pushed.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Staying Top of Mind with friends, family, and past clients is imperative in the Real Estate world. I utilize almost every form of Media in order to keep my name/face within reach of those that I wish to keep me Top of Mind. If I have physical addresses, I send out informational post cards, flyers with freebies or discounts for goods and services, or I’ll even drop by periodically with a treat or drink in hand to just say “Hi”. On top of, e-mail blasts with Real Estate related and adjacent information, text messages asking about how they’re doing, interacting with them via Social Media, and reaching out whenever I see any life changes via their profiles or conversations. I make sure to let everyone know that I can be their trusted source for Real Estate anything, as well as, make sure I’m easily reachable through multiple avenues to make it as easy as possible for people to connect with me.
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
I used to use an Algorithm that worked with Twitter, that would notify me if anyone mentioned “Move to Las Vegas” or “Want to move to Las Vegas”. By doing so, I reached out to many people on Twitter asking what their wants/needs were regarding buying or renting Real Estate in Las Vegas. One person I reached out to was very interested in moving here for school and a new career. I connected with him outside of Twitter and eventually found a Rental for him. He stayed in the Rental for a year to build his credit and we eventually got him to a point where he could be pre-approved for a home loan. After a year of renting, I helped him purchase his first home…. All from reaching out on Twitter. Definitely a shot in the dark that hit its mark!
