We were lucky to catch up with Ronnie King recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ronnie, thanks for joining us today. Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new firm – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
I moved to Los Angeles in 1990 and got discovered by Jerry HELLER manager of NWA
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the industry being a studio musician.. I was faster than most of the people in LA as far as replacing samples and and keyboard work..
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Well for me, I was a studio musician so I could go to five or six or 10 studio sessions during a day and replace samples do all the keyboards.. I was kind of a master at the mini moog. Which is an electronic keyboard that was very specialized.
Well, just being very proficient and fast and knowledgeable of music theory and the keyboard
