Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In April 2021, I faced a personal health battle that was deeply entwined with my past. Diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer, I found myself confronting the very disease that claimed my mother’s life in January 2016. Witnessing my mother’s struggle with traditional chemotherapy and radiation treatments, I believed these methods ultimately contributed to her passing. This profound experience shaped my perspective on how I wanted to approach my own treatment.
Determined to take control of my life and health, I made a bold and unconventional decision to forego traditional medical treatments. Instead, I opted for a holistic approach, focusing on changing my diet, incorporating regular exercise, and purifying my body through natural means. Many people, including my surgeon, thought I was making a grave mistake and even labeled me as “crazy.” However, I remained steadfast in my decision, trusting my intuition and the research I had done.
With unwavering faith and determination, I embarked on a journey of holistic healing. I adopted a plant-based diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole foods, eliminating processed foods and toxins from my life. Regular exercise became a cornerstone of my routine, not just for physical strength but also for mental clarity and emotional resilience. Additionally, I explored various natural therapies and supplements to support my body’s healing processes.
Throughout this journey, I listened to my body, embraced a positive mindset, and surrounded myself with a supportive community. The results were nothing short of miraculous. Against all odds and medical expectations, I successfully cured my disease through holistic methods. My experience serves as a testament to the power of natural healing and the importance of taking control of one’s health.
My story is a message of hope and empowerment for others facing similar challenges. It underscores the importance of informed choices, self-advocacy, and the potential of holistic healing. While my path may not be for everyone, it is a reminder that we all have the right to choose our own journey towards health and wellness.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
When I first ventured into the world of business, I started by creating t-shirts for family and friends. My belief in the power of “word of mouth” was strong, and it became the cornerstone of my marketing strategy. Each shirt I designed and printed was a testament to my commitment to quality and creativity.
As my friends and family wore my creations, they began to share their experiences with others. This organic spread of information started a chain reaction—one person told another, who told another, and so on. The positive feedback and enthusiasm from my initial customers played a crucial role in my business’s growth.
To amplify this word-of-mouth effect, I implemented a simple yet effective strategy: I asked each person who purchased a product to post about their experience on social media. I encouraged them to wear or showcase the items they bought and share their satisfaction with their networks. This not only increased visibility but also built a community of happy customers who became my brand ambassadors.
Social media became a powerful tool for my business. Each post, tag, and share helped to extend my reach far beyond what I could have achieved through traditional advertising alone. The authentic testimonials and real-life photos of my products created a buzz and drew more people to my business.
Through this approach, I witnessed the power of genuine customer advocacy. My business grew steadily, fueled by the trust and recommendations of satisfied customers. This journey reinforced my belief that word-of-mouth is indeed one of the most effective ways to build a business, especially when coupled with the amplifying power of social media.
Today, my business thrives on the foundations of personal connections and genuine customer satisfaction. Each t-shirt, each product, is more than just an item—it’s a part of a story shared and passed along, creating a ripple effect of positivity and growth.
