My hero is my late Aunt Sue, who passed away from cancer a decade ago. She was an exceptional mother, wife, and active community member. As the editor of the local magazine and author of several books, she perfectly balanced kindness and business savvy. She had such a bright and positive energy with the most infectious laughter. One of my heroes is my mother in law “Brenda Joyce Streater” she is my role model and biggest influencer in my personal and professional life. I have three heroes. My daughters. My three daughters have taught me to have faith, patience, perseverance, and how to pivot. My children have taught me that nothing is too hard especially when you have God guiding your life. My hero is my uncle Oliver. When I was young the two big male figures in my life was my grandpa and uncle. They have always been similar, but the reason that I picked him is because we can relate to many things more and discuss anything in our culture. My hero or as I call her my forever, SHE-RO, is my beloved mother Catherine Moran. My mother left this earthly life on December 8, 2022, but make no mistake about it, she STILL mother’s from above. I have learned life lessons after life lessons from my mother. The first life lesson I would learn from my mom would be a lesson on faith.
