Definition of a hero; a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. To me, the ultimate hero is someone that makes a difference in others lives, no matter how major or minor. I see someone that shows grace, patience, and perseverance when faced with adversity. My heroes are my mother and father. Both taught me lessons that have made my family owned business a success. My parents both cooked meals and would invite family and friends to enjoy. They would pride on the love and time spent in creating meals that was sure to please and get rave reviews from. I remember being in the kitchen with my mother as young as eight years old. My hero is Simple My Father David SR…. Hard working Black man from the south who has picked Cotton not due to slavery but to life at the moment! I’ve honestly rarely seen him take a day off of work even to this day at my age of 39. He has adjusted his ways from when I was a kid to today’s society. I would’ve h never imagined this change! I still continue to learn from this man who doesn’t smoke, works for the Union but my Biggest Supporter! I have always called her my “Shero” . I watched my mother work sometimes 10 hrs at the school, she would then come home and prepare a full meal for us. If someone had a event, church service or funeral, she would bake a cake as well. I would often think Man.. I know she is tired..but no complaints.. Everything that I do today, I always say to myself.. What would Fannie do. Although she is not here in the earthly realm. She is with me spiritually.
