One of the most innovative things I’ve done to date is publish my first book. I started on it in 2016, writing notes here and there. At the time, I was working in the Behavioral and Mental Health field as a Case Manager. I worked with kids, teens, and adults who were experiencing various issues. Sometimes, I would often reflect on my clients situations and wished that I could do more—especially for the kids and adolescents because at that age they didn’t understand life and lack the tools to properly work through their problems. I wanted them to have something lasting—beyond me that they could refer to when they found themselves in a pickle. Furthermore, I continued to create my notes and it was some time before I realized that what I was writing would one day become an entire book. Read more>>

Over the course of my career the the most innovative thing that I have done is pivot! I tried so many different things until I figured out what I really enjoyed. I started off with painting, switched to custom clothes, then created my own merch and digital art, threw art shows, and then realized tattooing is where I want to be. Read more>>

Stepping away for two years to travel the world during the COVID pandemic. This forced me to rethink how I approached everything – how I live, how I work, and how I travel. Building from the experience, I launched a monthly webinar – Guide to Transformative Travel – where I use my two years of near-constant travel to educate and inspire people on embarking their own long-term travel journey. The guide focuses on five key steps: Read more>>

The most innovative thing I’ve done in my social media career was always keeping up with the trends and anticipating the next big thing. When Instagram first came to existence, I saved up to get an iPod Touch just to be able to use the app since it wasn’t available to android. I eventually switched over to the iPhone and continued to post my photography work while most photographers were hesitant to get on board with posting their work on social media. When Vine came around, I was already posting video content and had 50K followers before the platform shut down. Read more>>

The most innovative career decision I’ve made was creating a small marketing firm after college. Although I no longer have this business, it taught me life skills in marketing, working with others, and representing myself. Building a marketing business that represented others gave me the confidence to represent myself and start my journey as an influencer. My family has a saying, “If not you, then who?”. Graphic design and corporate communications was my passion, but I was doing something different during my 9-5 right out of college. Read more>>

In Production Design a way to innovate is to find different ways to bring the viewer a little closer to the world you create and turn it into an immersive experience. For me, the way to do that is to combine different platforms and art techniques that will add an extra layer or dimension to the set. In 2018 I had the chance to design for a Youtube limited mini series called: Greenwood Ave. a VR experience. This show was shot with a 180 degree wide angle lens and was edited in a way you could use a VR headset and immerse yourself in the story. The show talks about a very important event in American history: The Tulsa Race massacre of 1921. Read more>>

In the fall 0f 2021, I was a junior at William Penn University. I wanted to do a project on the small town of What Cheer, Iowa, a short drive from where I grew up. Originally I wanted to do a photography project on the town, but I pretty quickly realized that I should do a video documentary. After I did some research and spoke with people living in What Cheer, I got a team together of other William Penn students, and we starting filming the documentary in the spring of 2022. After two years of filming and a lot of editing, we just recently premiered the film at the What Cheer Opera House at a two night premiere which saw over 100 attendees each night. Today, I am getting a lot of demand for DVDs of the film and I plan to sell 200 of them. Read more>>
