Kindness begets kindness. So, wanted to create a space to share and amplify stories of kindness with the hope that it inspires a chain reaction.

One of the best things you can accomplish in life is leaving an impact on people, one of kindness and hope. I didn’t have the easiest time growing up, but throughout my journey I’ve been fortunate to have key figures step into my life and speak important truth into me. It’s because of kind humans who took the time to impart some of their powerful wisdom to a scared little girl that I’m where I am today. Read more>>

Seated at a table during a book signing for my first book, Horsepower – A Memoir a woman approached me. Her steps appeared reserved. “Will you please sign my copy of your book,” she said. “I bought it two years ago.” The woman handed me the book. The front and back covers were worn white from being held. All of the pages had been loosed from the spine and each page had been dog-eared and had notes scrawled on them. Tears filled my eyes. We truly believe that everyone is special and therefore kind in the process of creating our pieces of chocolate. For us, every customer that takes the time to stop by our booth at the Markets, Pop up shows or that buys our products online or at the retail stores, is showing a gesture of kindness that we really appreciate and make our days special. My work and life as a priest in The Episcopal Church is lived relatively publicly. Certain choices (even seemingly small ones!) might affect how some understands who I am or what I support or what I believe in. This doesn’t always have to be negative–sometimes it works quite effectively and is very helpful! Often times, though, it increases the pressure–both internal and external–for me. It can feel as though every word needs to be chosen with great care or that any social media post better be fully vetted. None of that is bad–I want to say and do the right and good thing! But, the pressure is higher. Read more>>

The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was to be nominated and interviewed by VoyageSTL magazine. VoyageSTL magazine was the very first interview I did. Imagine after consistently promoting your business, then suddenly, a company contacts you saying they want to host an interview about you and your brand. This was one of the best days of my life. I had no choice but to praise God because, with God, all things are possible. Being a business owner is not easy. Read more>>

I was born and raised in Nigeria which is situated on the continent of Africa. When I graduated high school in 1986 my father asked me what I wanted to do with my life. I told him that I would like to own a hospital which he would build for me. I would employ doctors, nurses, and administrators whom I would supervise. He laughed at my idea as he couldn’t wrap his mind around it. I spent the next four years having a good time, never intentional about the moves I was making or where I was headed. Read more>>

The kindest thing someone has ever done for is smile. I was a freshman in college, stressed, tired, trying to find a class. As i was crossing paths with the person, we looked a each other and they gave me the warmest smile. It brightened my entire day. My whole mood changed. I don’t think people realize how much their smiles mean to someone, especially if they are having a rough day. Since that moment, I try to make a point to stress less and smile more. Read more>>

This is the story of the beginning of a great opportunity that developed into a friendship of unspeakable gratitude. I am a YouTuber, among other things. I love the outdoors, and more importantly, show others how wonderful it can be.
In the winter of 2019 heading into 2020, I had entered a very simple giveaway of a fishing bait. I ended up winning the fishing lure from a YouTuber named Jay (FishManTV). I took those baits out in the dead of winter when fishing is the toughest and slowest and caught 2 HUGE smallmouth bass on back to back casts. Read more>>
