We’ve experienced that many times, and know from conversations with operators and owners in those industries that their real profitability is often far, far less. The reason is often that there are unique challenges to profitability in almost every industry and so we wanted to create a space for entrepreneurs from across industries and markets to discuss the challenges to profitability in their industries.

One of the biggest issues in my industry with profitability is, clients not exactly understanding where and what the monies are used for. Clients can sometimes have grand ideas that may not match their current budget. Sometimes having similar companies undercutting pricing, which essentially brings the entire market down. I would say the hardest way to gain profit in the music industry is hard ticket sales. It’s also the best way to gain a profit because if you can sell out shows you can make money off the tickets probably more merch sales that way to.
