We asked some brilliant folks to tell us about the best advice they’ve ever given to a client and have highlighted some of the responses below.

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve given to a client stems from the idea of embracing the power of choice. Often, we feel trapped by our circumstances, overwhelmed by external pressures, or burdened by self-doubt. I worked with a client who struggled with a deep sense of helplessness in their personal and professional life. They believed they had no control over their situation, and this mindset kept them stuck in patterns that were no longer serving them. Read more>>

The best advice I can give to someone living with an autoimmune diagnosis that want to feel and function at their personal best is this…gift yourself the support you crave. There is a narrative out there that if you want or need a coach to help you change habits and create a healthier lifestyle, it must mean you are lacking willpower or not trying hard enough. Wrong. Learning, changing, and growing in a way that feels good so it last for good is a skillset that most all of us were never taught. If anyone is at all curious about how support from a coach or other professional will work, go for it. Never resist an urge to do something loving for yourself, especially if it takes you outside of your comfort zone. Read more>>

“When it feels scary to jump in, that’s when you jump. Otherwise, you’ll stay in the same place your whole life.” So often, people wait for the “perfect moment” to make a change—whether that’s the start of a new year, a fresh week, or waiting to feel motivated. Honestly, the best advice that I have ever given a client was simply to believe in herself and learn to focus on the things that she has control over. unfortunately in life when we start to go through “bad” things in life, we totally forget about all of the good. This is the exact mindset that my client was in. Her therapy wasn’t working for her, she was lonely because she had just relocated to a new state, she had gained 20-30 pounds, and had an overall negative perception of herself. Read more>>

One of the most impactful moments in my career involved a patient who came to me feeling utterly defeated. She had been battling complex health issues for years, including chronic gut dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, chronic pain, and severe fatigue. By the time she arrived at The Movement Paradigm, she had been to countless practitioners—physical therapists, chiropractors, functional medicine doctors, medical specialists, and massage therapists—yet nothing seemed to help. She was understandably skeptical, frustrated, and ready to give up. Read more>>

The best advice I offer to my clients is to truly get to know yourself. Understand your wounds, uncover the unconscious beliefs you’re holding onto that no longer serve you, and become aware of your emotions. Learn how to speak your truth with kindness. Most importantly, recognize when you’re operating from your thoughts and ego versus tuning into your intuition. Begin to build self-awareness, do the inner work, and everything else will naturally fall into place. Read more>>
