I don’t know if this is the best advice I have ever given, but it is certainly a theme of many of my sessions with clients. It may sound crazy, but y’all…. stop worrying about what other people think of you. Let go of it forever. It is an utter waste of time. And here is why: How much time do you spend worrying about other people’s opinions of you? Truthfully. I’d say that the best client advice is more of a process and a holding of space that I provide for them to move through, and is something that I give to all of my clients because it is so incredibly relevant. I believe that our bodies are FOR us, not against us. I believe that we can trust our bodies, and trust our voices. I believe that we are all singers, and that it can be joyful and healing to sing. I believe that we have to be willing to let go of limiting beliefs and tensions and constrictions to get to our most free, most powerful sound. My best advice to clients would be to not overthink things. Often times we want every aspect of our vacation plans to be perfect, but it’s important not to get overwhelmed and to be flexible when things don’t go as we originally planned. Everything tends to work out in the end. If a client is torn between more than one travel destination, I will help them outline the pros and cons of each one. I also remind them that whichever destination they don’t choose now, they can plan to visit on the next trip. Read more>>
