There is a lot of nuance and individuality when it comes to mental health, but one thing that I have found can universally help people is tuning into your own thoughts and getting curious about how you speak to yourself. Are you harsh and critical? Do you respond to mistakes or circumstances outside of your control with kindness and curiosity? Read more>>

So, I’m not in the business of giving advice. I’m in the business of helping people gain insight in order to advise themselves. (If your therapist is giving you straight-up advice, maybe consider a new therapist!) I take a psychoanalytical approach to therapy which, in short, guides people through an exploration of the adaptive thought and behavior patterns they developed during their adolescence and how those patterns may be showing up in their adulthood. The best advice I have given to a client is that an enabler and a support system are two different things. My client was struggling with being taken advantage of by a family member. I helped her to identify who she was as a person and how to set boundaries. She went from being a crutch to becoming a woman that proudly set boundaries, didn’t allow the boundaries to be crossed guilt free.. Read more>>

My primary role as a spiritual mentor and hypnotherapist is to guide clients in uncovering and achieving their life’s purpose through the use of diverse spiritual modalities. While I would like to attribute the advice I provide solely to my expertise, I must acknowledge that much of what I offer comes from channeled messages from my clients’ Akashic Records. I have had a lot of fitness clients during my almost 10 year career, I would say the most important advice I give about health and fitness is that we need to adjust our goals to where we are at today and not our ideal that is unreachable. I am obsessed with testing out goals and seeing what works and adapting again when they don’t work. It is important to not be so critical of ourselves and enjoy the process and lifestyle of being healthy. If we can make health and fitness fun for ourselves, and the environment natural and easy to do, we can keep the habits for the long term instead of short term. Read more>>

The best advice I ever gave to a client was that ” NO” is Bae is the first step to setting healthy boundaries with those around you”. This client was struggling with people pleasing and she was very unhappy because she had little to no time for herself. She was always available to lend a helping hand, support other, even to the point of giving out loans and being frustrated when the person she had given it to didn’t not make the efforts to repay her. . She benefited by being able to set proper boundaries with people without feeling guilty about it. Read more>>

It’s difficult to pinpoint the best piece of advice I’ve given a patient as each person is so unique and requires different guidance. However, my approach with each patient is to first make sure they understand that they are already beautiful and that my role is to enhance their natural features. I recognize that we tend to be our own harshest critics, so I aim to build my patients confidence and self-esteem. Read more>>
