I believe that corporate America under-values the importance of having original and quality photography for their businesses. Time and time again, I see people who are trying to get the best deal out there regardless of quality. We live in a world where photo/video are the main source in which people determine if they want to buy the product, work with the business, etc… So you do yourself a disservice when you don’t put your best foot forward by hiring a quality photographer to represent your business or your product. Corporate America is heavily focused on following an “in the box” mindset and the bottom line/making money first. I previously worked in Corporate America at a bank for almost 20 years. I was there long enough to see and feel the standard behaviors and tendencies. I can appreciate that rules must be made to help avoid chaos, increase productivity and create a sense of discipline in a high-pressure environment. Corporate destroys art. We can live without corporations but we can’t live without art and creativity. This SAG and Writers strike is a joke to me if I am honest. It’s another example of what happens when pen pushers try and control a narrative over the people. We don’t need more money or banks controlling our society.
