Being a small business owner within the black and brown community; helping to break the stigma around dress code in Corporate America has been an uphill battle. Still prevalent in 2022, many Corporate American companies still seem to lack a sense of diversity and social ethnicity when it comes to black culture and how it is portrayed within their organization. The upper echelon of Corporate America has defined professionally acceptable dress code in the workplace without having the input of a culturally diverse setting for many decades. Growing up Trinidadian/American, I would watch my aunt’s and mother hide their ethnicity when it came time to step into a work environment. Read more>>

Fast fashion and the idea that clothing has an expiration date. I don’t believe in making people feel inadequate for owning “past season” clothing. It’s that same business model that has encouraged us to discard the old, buy the new, and ignore the landfill of pollution that aggressively accumulates. ADH is meant to be timeless, relevant, and available year-round; because unlike food, clothing does not have an expiration date. Read more>>

I’m pretty sure Corporate America and the general population doesn’t really know that the Professional Organizing industry exists! Even I didn’t know that becoming a Professional Organizer was a career path until I accidentally stumbled upon it. The closest industries to us in the past have been both Interior Design and Real Estate Staging, but many people overlook the less camera-ready parts. Not everyone gets to start with a blank slate and may have years of accumulation built up. Read more>>

This is such a great question. The latest Gallup poll came out a few weeks ago and it showed that in the United States 67% of employees are disengaged with their work- globally that number jumps to 79%. This means that the vast majority of employees here and abroad don’t really like the work that they do. This simply isn’t sustainable. Read more>>
