I hope I create a legacy of taking intelligent risks and creating a life I love. Life is too short and precious to spend in a way that doesn’t bring you joy, peace, contentment, and fulfillment. I think one of the great things about the millennial and Gen Z generations is that many of us are willing to look outside of the typical idea of “work” and can incorporate a work/life/fun balance that creates a holistic happiness about living a big life. I hope to provide a better platform for men to heal their mental health in a way that creates a new path for the next generation of men. That our children will no longer deal with the needless suffering of unhealed parents and societal pressures we’re faced with, and we can have a more understanding, healthier, and happier society because of it. Once people feel understood, it gives them the ability to understand and that makes all the difference. Read more>>

Having done hundreds (if not over one thousand) photoshoots at this point, I know that I will leave behind a catalogue of beautiful faces, artists, experiences, and family memories. I feel so blessed to be able to immortalize moments and chapters of peoples lives. I liken it to being a historian of sorts. I document significant personal milestones in peoples journeys. I’v now had the pleasure of documenting several people (my first clients) for about a decade. Read more>>

I would want the wisdom I share with the world to be my legacy. We all experience lifetimes to evolve our soul by learning our lessons. It is my belief that with each incarnation, we are meant to then share our wisdom with the world. This wisdom may take the form of an invention that helps all of mankind, a global movement in the name of peace or even just making an impact by teaching young minds. I call this last wisdom, your legacy. Read more>>

I hope The Studio is the visual symbolism of entrepreneurial success. Although I have perused and continue to peruse higher education, I want the children in our underprivileged, underserved, marginalized communities to know they have options. The Studio stands as my business baby to show the generations coming up after me that they don’t have to pursue education, athletics or fall victim to the streets to achieve success and lead a successful life. There is wealth in trades and entrepreneurship and I want to be the stepping stone they see and come to in search of their own success. Read more>>

Whenever I am thinking of what I wanted to be remembered for when I leave, I think of the things I am doing for others, plus some things I do for myself that correlates to positive effects on others. Building a strong legacy to leave behind when I am no longer here is why I continue to stay focused on the present. I actually pay attention to the way I relate and inspire others in the PRESENT. The reality is that I care today for things that may happen after I do leave which I feel its perfectly normal to think about that. Most care to leave behind positive thoughts from those you do leave behind. Read more>>

As a Fashion Designer, some of my biggest influences are Karl Kani, Virgil Abloh, Kanye West and Sean Combs. These men have made a huge impact on the streetwear fashion industry respectively. Their legacies will always be cherished and remembered. Kanye west and Virgil Abloh were able to breakdown barriers in the luxury fashion space which seemed at the time impossible for minorities. I plan to not only contribute to this factor but I also plan to leave a legacy where I am able to leave a brand that genuinely cares for the marginalized demographic. Read more>>

I expect that the books I create and the value they bring to young readers will outlive me. I often say that I’m creating future masterpieces. And I genuinely believe that. Books changed my life as a child. Between those pages, I could be anywhere I wanted to be. When life at home threatened to strangle the very life out of me, I found solace in books. Books were my friends. I want to be that level of a friend to a child. Read more>>

Being born and raised in a traditional Hispanic household with parents wanting to strive for and provide the American dream, being a business owner wasn’t so much in the picture. I was able to break through and accomplish something huge for not only myself but for my family. What I really hope to leave behind as my legacy is the ability for our following generations to know that we can be entrepreneurs and build the most amazing life off of that. Read more>>

I am a community builder by nature. I am most interested in needling the thread between us, in being playfully curious about life and the beauty that can be explored in our differences. One of the reasons I started “Gifty Gal” was to have another opportunity to be generous. I want to be known as a person who was generous with their gifts, finances, connections, and time. I believe being generous keeps your heart happy and keeps you grounded. If I have the ability to provide a job, provide resources, provide my time to give someone else an opportunity, then I believe I will make a difference in this world. Read more>>

As a business woman, I have struggled with sexism as well as treated with respect. Starting with no guidance or minimal education, it made networking and developing my business difficult. Joining the permanent make-up & beauty profession I have trained with gifted and talented artists who have a passion and love for their work. I want to be that mentor and guidance for women who want to be successful. I want my classes/trainings to be the start of a woman’s career and life. Read more>>

I hope to help people on the biggest scale possible whether or not anyone actually ever remembers me personally. That being said, if I get to have a legacy, then I hope I’m remembered for being compassionate and inspire others in that way. Sure, I’d love for historians and poets to write about how hilarious, curious, creative, original, honest, and strikingly beautiful I was, but at the end of the day, we should all hope to leave legacies of kindness. When I started this journey I never really thought about what this was doing for my legacy. I was in the curiosity stage when I decided on starting Trey Photography. I started with the simplest name I could, then I focused more on mastering the fine arts and details that go into photography. As time went on and I experienced the highs and lows of having my creative passion becoming a business. I cannot tell you the best way to make create a lasting legacy for generations to come. When people think of legacy they refer to career, wealth, etc. For me, legacy isn’t just about what I have or will accomplish, but what I did with the time I was given and did I help change one life for the better. The fact is that many years after I’m gone, my name will be uttered one final time amongst my family and friends and then I’ll become a passing memory. When I draw my final breath, my heart will be content with knowing I was a resilient woman who persevered through every obstacle that came to destroy me and did it with a pure heart and a beautiful smile.
