Legacies help us with our goals after we’ve passed because they have the power to inspire action and the give our ideals an chance to live on through others. Given the magical potential of legacies, we wanted to support and foster conversations around legacy building and below you’ll find some of those conversations.

When I think of how to answer this question, I think of who I want this message to be most meaningful for. People like me. When I was growing up out of poverty and eventually lived in a group children’s home with 70 other kids, there was no one with my story. No one I found I could look up to who was both a business person and creative, with ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences). No one that could help speak the right words for me to figure out exactly what I want to do with this lifetime; what I am supposed to do. Read more>>

When I think about the legacy I want to build, I envision something far beyond my own story—it’s about leaving behind a path that others, especially within the Deaf community, can walk confidently. I want people to remember me not only as a tattoo artist who created beautiful, meaningful designs but also as someone who broke barriers, challenged norms, and redefined what it means to be a Deaf woman in both the tattoo and entrepreneur industries. I hope that my legacy will be helping people develop a completely different sense of self that allows them to achieve their goals and contribute to the world around them. I know the power of one conversation and how that can change the trajectory of someone’s life.
