In our view there is already a ton of coverage of the trends that ivory tower professors and billionaire fund managers are seeing. What’s the edge in hearing the billionaire consensus view over and over again?
The edge comes from hearing new perspectives and new information like from the wedding planner who has worked with hundreds of couples during the pandemic and has noticed that couples are allocating significantly more of their wedding budgets on “small details” like personalized neon signs and eco-friendly customized digital invitations rather than paper invites. Or the accountant seeing how there’s a huge uptick in ecommerce clients generating revenue from in person popups.
Below, you’ll find some of the most thoughtful entrepreneurs and creatives in across various industries and markets sharing the trends they are seeing.

As the founder of a nonprofit that provides grocery assistance to those in financial distress, we have never seen so many people in need. Recently, our client base in need of food has doubled along with our costs to feed each family. This has stressed our pantry to the limit, and our shelves are almost bare. We serve those in the community with health issues such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and others, as our focus is on healthy food to support their dietary needs. In addition, we serve other families in need including families with children, senior citizens, and those with disabilities. Read more>>

The biggest trend I’m seeing in the social media industry is that everything is moving towards video content. Video content is now necessary for any person who is trying to “show up” on Instagram and Facebook. Gone are the days of static images and iPhone pics. We’re all needing to level up here. Turn your photos into videos by adding a simple filter and posting it as a Reel will help increase eyes on your page. With video being IG’s new priority, it’s made me learn a new skill set, but it showed me that we MUST be adaptable and always STAY creative. Read more>>

Right now real estate is interesting. The market has definitely shifted in the past two months. From homes flying off the market in hours, with 20 offers on them to homes sitting for 20 or 30 days and sellers now making concessions again. We are getting back to a more reasonable, stable real estate market in the Nashville area I feel. The growth we were seeing for the past two years was unsustainable and had to pull back. With the fed increasing interest rates home buyers are a bit more careful and thoughtful as far as what they can afford monthly. But with that, inventory is still fairly low which keeps home prices high. Buyer demand is still high as well with out of state buyers coming into Middle Tennessee. So it’s that wise ole balance of supply and demand. Read more>>

We’re starting to see healthcare become a more “patient-centered” model. Our healthcare system has primarily revolved around health insurance companies and large medical groups. Patients are starting to learn that they can shop for healthcare the same way they shop for everything else… with knowing the price up front. And because of this, we’re educating the market how to become consumers of their healthcare, and not a victim of our healthcare system. Read more>>

One of the biggest trends I’ve seen in wedding photography is around the style of shooting and editing. There has been a lot “rule breaking” when it comes to textbook photography. It has allowed creativity to flourish and provides more emotion to the art of story telling. Out of focus shots, motion blur, unusual angles, it’s so fun to get weird and deliver something unique to each couple. Read more>>

I am in the event industry. The world was locked up for quite some time and now, we are starting to see in-person interaction boom post-restriction. My company, The Quick Space, aims to bring the celebration of life and the warmth of togetherness back through an app that allows people to post their space or service for rent by the hour.
