In our view there is already a ton of coverage of the trends that ivory tower professors and billionaire fund managers are seeing. What’s the edge in hearing the billionaire consensus view over and over again?
The edge comes from hearing new perspectives and new information like from the wedding planner who has worked with hundreds of couples during the pandemic and has noticed that couples are allocating significantly more of their wedding budgets on “small details” like personalized neon signs and eco-friendly customized digital invitations rather than paper invites. Or the accountant seeing how there’s a huge uptick in ecommerce clients generating revenue from in person popups.
Below, you’ll find some of the most thoughtful entrepreneurs and creatives in across various industries and markets sharing the trends they are seeing.

One of the biggest trends that I personally love is embracing natural curl and texture! As a hair stylist, I am very comfortable using hot tools to style my hair. What makes me uncomfortable however, is working with my natural waves. Fighting frizz has always been a losing battle for me. But when I started seeing more and more women rocking their natural hair it inspired me. It’s normal to open up a magazine or turn on the tv and be slapped in the face with (gorgeous) shiny, smooth, perfect hair. And while I agree that those styles are stunning, it’s not realistic for most women to wear daily. I am just starting my natural hair journey and I have a lot to learn, and I am excited to pass on that knowledge to the clients in my chair. I believe healthy natural hair is here to stay! The teeth whitening market is valued at 6.4 billion dollars and is expected to reach about 10.7 billion dollars by 2032. Teeth whitening products are widely available such as gels, toothpaste and strips. Most candidates are people with healthy gums and teeth, products are received by people with yellow teeth. As a result , there will be an increase in demand for teeth whitening products on the global market. Due to consumers knowledge of oral hygiene, teeth whitening operations are in high demand. Without removing the tooth surfaces , teeth whitening is fairly efficient technique to alter the color of the tooth but not completely but produce a lighter color of the tooth. I would recommend letting a professional perform this technique so achieve better results as we can provide the proper after care . Read more>>

Currently, the most significant trend is undoubtedly AI. As AI tools advance rapidly, they have a huge impact on almost all industries, including the design industry. AI-generated images and videos are improving every day, inevitably transforming the industry and the future of design. I feel mostly positive about this trend; however, my biggest concerns are the biases that exist in AI and copyright issues. There is still a long way to go, and regulations will be crucial. Nevertheless, this trend has the potential to significantly increase our efficiency. It can free designers from laborious work and allow them to focus more on creative and strategic aspects. We are currently experiencing a cultural moment in which mushrooms are receiving a lot of attention: mushrooms themselves are the trend. For about 5 years now I’ve been curious about their staying power- it’s not just the psychedelic renaissance that has hold of the publics attentions, but the entire possibility of ecological reform. Concepts of mycoremediation (removal of toxins from an environment through the introduction of certain mushroom mycelium) are gaining a lot of traction. Then on a more consumer based level, people are more interested in eating them or supplementing their health regimens than ever before; some simply think the fruiting bodies of mushrooms are adorable and want to see them on everything. The most significant trend I’m seeing as a photographer working in the modeling industry is inclusivity. I think social media has shifted the paradigm because people want to see models who look like them and not what “perfect” looks like based on societal standards. I think it’s great! People are wanting to support and buy from models they can relate to and social media has given them that opportunity. I think as a society and mostly for younger generations it’s showing that we are embracing our differences instead of fearing and rejecting them and most of all people are loving themselves more because they see a model who looks like them and maybe that model is thriving in the industry and it lights a fire and motivation within themselves to pursue their dreams despite the status quo. I have also realized that with this shift modeling agencies themselves are starting to loosen up on their restrictions, a lot of them are no longer requiring models to be a certain weight, height, or size. It’s a really beautiful thing and I think with this mentality we are moving a step forward on changing the world and realizing that we are all flawed humans doing the best we can. It sounds so cliche to say and I don’t want to get too political but I hope when push comes to shove we all stand together and help each other make life beautiful :) Read more>>

I recently received an email from one of my students who is taking my online 30 day book challenge. Students learn my method for writing a book in 30 days; a method I’ve used for many years when ghostwriting for busy business professionals. The student asked how the use of machine learning algorithms such as ChatGPT were redefining the freelance writing world. My reply was that it was completely changing the game I’ve played in for over a decade. It’s really changing a lot of different aspects of business and industries. And it’s the hottest topic of discussion at the colleges and universities.Read more>>

The biggest trend I see in the hair industry is TikTok. It is a great way to get you and your work out there! The most recent trend that I have seen are consultation videos. These are such a helpful tool for both hair dressers to see how to consult difficult services and for clients to see what questions to ask and if the stylist they are seeing does in depth consultations and makes them feel comfortable! I personally would rather watch a 3-5 minute video than scroll through endless photos. Which is why I think my TikTok account reaches more of an audience than Instagram. Read more>>

Technology has greatly impacted the art industry in the last few years. The new wave of Generative art, AI and dynamic NFT’s have altered the way people perceive art today. Although the NFT’s created a big buzz at the start , it couldn’t sustain the ebb and flow of the art market. But looks like digital art and its fascinating growth is here to stay. This brand new segment in the art world skyrocketed in 2021 and the democratization of technology has made it easier and accessible to emerging artists. I have to also add that although digital art has come to prominence recently, many may not know that it has been around for a long time. Today’s trend in the digital art can be traced to its historical immediate past where the seeds have sowed by another generation of artists. In this context we are trying to bring the pioneers of the digital art to the forefront alongside the new generation of artists who are largely from tech industries. Read more>>
