In our view there is already a ton of coverage of the trends that ivory tower professors and billionaire fund managers are seeing. What’s the edge in hearing the billionaire consensus view over and over again?
The edge comes from hearing new perspectives and new information like from the wedding planner who has worked with hundreds of couples during the pandemic and has noticed that couples are allocating significantly more of their wedding budgets on “”small details”” like personalized neon signs and eco-friendly customized digital invitations rather than paper invites. Or the accountant seeing how there’s a huge uptick in ecommerce clients generating revenue from in person popups.
Below, you’ll find some of the most thoughtful entrepreneurs and creatives in across various industries and markets sharing the trends they are seeing.

One of the most alarming trends of 2023 across the creative industries is the emergence of AI technology. AI has been around for awhile, however in the last six months it has exploded, especially in the creative industries. In late 2022, the app Lensa skyrocketed in popularity, allowing anyone to upload photos of themselves into the app, and for a mere $3.99 it would turn out stylized portraits that appeared to be illustrated by an artist in several different styles – you probably can recall many people changing their profile pictures to these stylized type of illustrations. One of the biggest trends going on right now in the creative industry is the rise of short form video. From TikTok, Instagram reels, Youtube shorts, and various other platforms, short form video has taken social media and even commercial media by storm. This has created so many opportunities for people who want to create “content” with something as simple as their smartphone. The concerns I have come from how this content has been prioritized. If creators or artists of any sort want to grow an audience or gain any sort of voice over their art, they have been forced to create short form video in order to promote themselves. Read more>>

Across social media, consumers are craving more authentic content and that definitely includes social advertising. One of the biggest trends with Facebook Ads that advertisers need to take advantage of is creating authentic, low-produced video ads. Consumers are watching more video content and with short-form videos on the rise, online brands need to start making video ads that connect with their ideal customers. Read more>>

We’re seeing more pets in weddings, whether the pets appear in photos or are included as part of the ceremony. We recently assisted with a “Surprise” appearance of a special pup. The groom secretly arranged for the couple’s dog to show up for photos. This was a surprise for his fiancé. She had no idea he planned this. He planned everything from the pup’s floral collar, to having us pick up their pet and take it to the venue and returning the pet home. We hid until it was time for the big reveal. We wish we could see and help more with more of these kinds of surprises! Read more>>

I love seeing the trends from each wedding season evolve. If there wasn’t a change then as an artist, life would become boring and predictable! I like to be kept on my toes and to be looking forward to new color concepts with unlimited possibilities. All white was everything in 2021 and will of course always be a classic statement. In 2022, we were seeing lots of weddings in the orange color palette showcasing terracotta, dusty persimmon and cinnamon color tones and boho was still making its appearance. Read more>>

The Latino homeownership rate has reached 48.4% and is on track to hit 50% by 2024.* Although the rate is projected to increase because homeownership and real estate investing have become lucrative, access to real estate has declined. This is due to low housing inventory, rising interest rates and affordability. These things pose threats to homeownership growth. *2022 State of Hispanic Wealth Report – Hispanic Wealth Project Read more>>

One of the biggest trends I’ve been seeing in my industry is “popcorn success” I call it popcorn success because people have this impression that businesses or content creation is so easy to start, that you will instantly profit/get brand deals, and when they don’t, they want to easily give up. It seems as if nobody is necessarily super passionate about the work anymore but want to reap all the benefits. I started creating content in 2011 & I’m so grateful for all of the blessings it has brought. Read more>>

Having recently launched two e-commerce businesses that exclusively use vegan, clean ingredients, I’ve noticed a growing trend among consumers who are increasingly drawn towards such products. One of my product lines, EXECULUXE, features bags made from vegan leather, which has occasionally elicited negative comments from those who view traditional leather as more valuable. However, I firmly believe that it’s time for us as a society to move beyond the outdated practice of slaughtering animals for their skin. Read more>>

In the world of Art, concepts are changing constantly and it’s what excites me most about it. Currently in the world of Art, I see now more than ever, a sense of honesty. On Instagram, you see artists, florists, designers, and illustrators just doing what comes naturally to them and in so many ways, that makes them more successful. I find that the people who gain traction and get attention for their work are doing the thing that is most approachable for them. This sense of honesty creates a true approachability to the art world. Some of the most exciting work I see these days are artists creating work without fluff. Read more>>
