Our community is fortunate to have so many brilliant, insightful entrepreneurs and creatives and so many of them have front row, ground level seats that allow them to see emerging trends before the so-called experts, industry leaders, etc. We wanted to create a space to connect members of our community where they could share these insights on trends and opportunities they are seeing.

Biggest trends in the wedding industry right now are elopements, run -a- way brides and micro weddings!
Micro Weddings: Brides are wanting a more intimate wedding ceremony & reception with a lot more details. They are focusing on details, their budget is going a lot further and they are ultimately doing what they really want at the end of the day! Smaller guest counts, dress changes, plated intimate dinners, and the eye for detail is what I have been seeing with my brides! Read more>>

One of the biggest trends I’ve been seeing build up in interior photography is hiring a stylist or offering styling services for photo shoots. More interior designers are realizing the importance of having a designated stylist on set to create that extra magical touch in order to really bring each photo to life. Not only can a stylist help perfect the details of an image, but they also relieve the designer from the stress and pressure of doing all of the styling themselves. Read more>>

Trends are huge in wedding photography, and with the raise of social media you can never be sure of what is going to be a trend. Someone does something on a tik tok video and out of nowhere every single one of my clients wants to replicate it somehow. However, within the last few years I have seen a turn in wedding photography that I really love and I am super excited about. After years of Rustic barn weddings, followed by years of Boho styled weddings, I am seeing a big turn into a more classic and timeless look. The film style is absolutely in right now and after the pandemic, Read more>>

Tarot is trending everywhere right now. Tarot is all over social media, especially TikTok and Instagram. You can find new and seasoned readers alike, pulling a ‘Card of the Day’ or doing readings for the “collective” or teaching others how to read tarot cards. You can find Tarot imagery on clothing, bags, home decor, and jewelry. I can’t remember the last time I went into a store and didn’t find a tarot related item. Read more>>

I see welcome change. For too long the world has drank a lot of very mediocre wine. What people don’t realize is that most of them have never tried a wine made by a small, artisanal producer. The world is full of small-scale producers, yet most people just drink the same ten brands that get widely distributed by the same giant distributors. The problem with this is that, as you would suspect, these wines are made with one goal in mind: to increase profitability and reduce costs while being palatable enough to succeed in the market. Some of the biggest trends I am seeing in my industry is very effortless lived in hair, which we have been seeing in the last few months. I believe there is a great way to create a high impact color while still giving a natural soft blend to the hair. I also have seen a shift in education with a lot of the hair stylists I look up too creating virtual education events which is great to receive education from the comfort of your home. The ability to also go back and rewatch has been effective in the sense that I am always able to refresh anytime and rewatch to truly grasp what I have learned. Read more>>

One of the biggest trends I am seeing not only in my chair but on social media is lived-in hair. My clients have been liking the option of being able to go longer in between appointments which means more time for them to spend time with family, work and enjoy hobbies. Lived-in hair usually consists of a color that matches the client’s natural hair color and is used to blend the highlights so the growout is softer and more natural looking. This is different from traditional highlights which go all the way to the root and needs touched up every few weeks (typically 4-6) while Lived-in hair can last anywhere from 6-8 weeks with proper care. Fashion overall has trended towards more casual and relaxed the past decade, but that really escalated with COVID and clients working from home. It’s interesting the way people dress for professional events now versus ten years ago. I think this has been a gateway for the denim industry to really shine, because denim is acceptable in most situations now. There are so many incredible denim lines right now. Read more>>
