Our community is fortunate to have so many brilliant, insightful entrepreneurs and creatives and so many of them have front row, ground level seats that allow them to see emerging trends before the so-called experts, industry leaders, etc. We wanted to create a space to connect members of our community where they could share these insights on trends and opportunities they are seeing.

The biggest trend in the industry is creating video content. It’s evident with platforms like TikTok that more and more the younger demographic is using the app as its own form of search engine. Before going on to Google or YouTube, the younger demographic of TikTok are using the app to help them figure out the answers to their questions. If someone wants to learn how to cook a Penne Vodka Sauce, they can learn how to do so in under a minute on TikTok, sometimes under 15 seconds. If someone is looking for restaurants to check out in their city, it’s a quick TikTok search. Read more>>

The furniture industry is an interesting and ever-evolving beast. In many ways it’s like the fashion industry, or even Hollywood, in that it’s often separated into several groups – involving both “professional critics” and the “regular people.” We’ve all seen those fashion shows where the clothes being modeled are eye-rollingly eccentric, or the film that scores a 95% from professional critics, but is as dull as a trip to the DMV. In the same way, different people ascribe to different philosophies on furniture design, and furniture trends tend to fall within two main categories – those that appeal to the professional design nerds, and those that appeal to regular people. Some of the biggest trends I’m seeing in our industry is video. While this may get repetitive, video is really the direction we’re heading and continue to head as an industry. It allows us to connect with customers on a more personal basis. On top of that, your personal brand will become more and more important. It is no question that having a personal brand is a non-negotiable in 2022, but I see people struggle to put themselves out there as a personal brand and on video. Read more>>

Then you would hope that your agent could see your book. Now the indie publishing scene is taking the publishing world by storm. I would say some of the biggest trends in my industry are creative styling , out-of-the box colors and top of the line photography and videography to showcase products or services. I have never seen the beauty industry as creative in whole as it is now. It’s honestly breathtaking to see the combinations that some artists come up with and I am happy to be apart of the movement. Travel has changed drastically in a post COVID-shut-down world. Mostly for the better, prospective client’s budgets are larger and their travel wish lists are more unique and adventurous. People want to see and do those bucket list items and they refuse to wait until it’s convenient or when they’re less busy. As a travel industry we are still experiencing the phenomena that is, pent up travel demand, people are ready to go, do and see, and even better, they’re ready to pay for it! Read more>>
