Having new or innovative ideas is essential to pushing the world forward and so we asked the community to share stories of the most innovative things they’ve done in their career. Our hope is to inspire folks who think only scientists or tech-wizards can innovate – innovation is possible for everyone, regardless of job title or function, industry or geography.

A notable example of the innovation required for my job occurred earlier this year when I was assigned to the Netflix feature Rez Ball, which tells an all-American underdog story about Navajo kids and coaches. Despite being based in Los Angeles, I had no connections within the Navajo community in New Mexico, where filming took place. Being able to illustrate has paved its own path for us in business. Many companies like to show they have a fun and lighter side to them and be more inviting to incoming clientele. Creating comic strips for them has been an extremely fun innovative practice that I originally did for locks and giggles on my own Instagram page but companies saw this and wanted to have some of their own. This was a snowball effect that eventually led to expansion of drawing for companies like Target, Proudly, Black Girl Sunscreen, and even some local businesses. Read more>>

The most innovative thing I’ve done is develop a flexible solution for scheduling mobile appointments that’s revolutionized how businesses schedule employees and enabled them to control where and when they offer appointments. No other software had attempted this, so my team and I had to start from scratch. We’re continually refining the process, of course. Still, the infrastructure now exists for businesses to simplify the process of organizing mobile appointments, which has been a huge win for our customers. Read more>>
